The best I can suggest is to *not* use it... unless you know how to
debug/tune it.

Residual Echo Suppression by the Preprocessor
What is the current status of the residual echo suppressor in the
preprocessor?
I ask this because I have occasional problems with the AEC, in which it
fails to cancel echo. I think the problems have to do with samples being
dropped by the audio IO system, which is effectively impossible to
detect and counteract reliably.
A colleague recommended using an echo suppression technique (which he

Residual Echo Suppression by the Preprocessor
The residual echo suppression is supposed to be working decently well
now. However, it's not designed to counter the effects of samples being
dropped off the soundcard. You'll just need to fix that problem for real.

CVS Question
When I checkout the latest asterisk version, then do a "make clean" and "make
install", shouldn't the "show version" command tell me the new version date?
I have done several updates and the version displayed is still from 2 months
ago.
Thanks.
Andres.

main/character.c (et.al): dangerous AllocBuffer()
I was hit by ugly crashes of R, when I tried to read big data sets ("volcano").
So I looked into the code and found the following in character.c (triggered by substr()):
I assume that the helper function AllocBuffer() shall facilitate an economic memory management. But
the use of realloc() in the else-branch does not conform to ANSI and may hit you with certain
compilers.

Getting Keypressed State in rgl
Dear Rglers,
when using a callback in rgl (Windows, if it matters)
http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/library/rgl/html/callbacks.html
I would like to get the Asynchronous keyboard status (as least
Shift/Control, but preferably other key) to set markers in a plot.
getGraphicsEvents seems to be limited to normal graphics windows.

Procmail patch for dovecot delivery
Hello!
As discussed in the previous thread about "Dovecot deliver logging
problem and procmail" I have made a small patch for procmail to deliver
through dovecot's deliver program (or any other delivery program).
So Procmail does not write the mailboxes directly any more. So delivery is
done through pipes and an external program which can deliver the files.
Since dovecot's

Enter Pin followed by Pound key
Im trying to create a custom application via the AGI. I want to
authenticate the users that dial in with a userid and pin. However, the
number of digits in the PIN and userid are variable, and therefore I need to
allow the user to "press enter" by hitting the pound key. How would I
accomplish this in the AGI?
stream_file doesnt seem to work, since it only allows one digit to be

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc linking errors
Hello all,
I was under the impression that llvm-gcc (and g++) could be used as a
standin for plain gcc, without any extra options needed on the
command-line. Is this correct?
If so, then I'm at a loss why I get the linking errors below when using
llvm-gcc compared to a successful gcc build. The multiply defined symbols
reported all seem to come from <stdlib.h>
Any clues?
Thanks,
Paul

VLAN configuration
Hi to the ML.
I''m new to VLAN configuration, and combining it to XEN is a bit difficult.
I want to use VLAN because it''s possible to "arping" from a domU to an
other, and VLAN looks like; the only solution to prevent that.
May be I''m wrong if someone got a solution, I may be interrested. I''ve
also tryed ebtables, but nothing to prevent arp
