Optimizing Vorbis for a DSP
Hello all, I have recently ported Vorbis to a Texas instruments DSP (TMS320C5510), The problem I have is that it is not decoding the audio in real time( about 50% of real time). Could any one give me a clue in which area I could start to optimize the code. Regards Kevin

--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage:

OGG VORBIS encoder in a texas DSP
Hello, My project is to encode an audio signal with a DSP TM320DM642 and to store the encoded file on a PCMCIA card(hard disk). I want to know if that is possible to do that. I have an other question with ooggencoder. In the win32 console, I want that "stdin" corresponds to my sound card input and that "stdout " corresponds to my sound card output. How can I do that? Many

Winamp streaming to icecast2
Hello, I'm trying to set up winamp to stream a live event to an icecast2 server. I've got the icecast2 server set up, and to date have streamed playlists only via ices0 or ices2, now I'm wanting to stream live using winamp. Software wise, I'm needing to use free or open source software, the icecast2 server is a Linux machine, the Winamp will be on either a Win7 or a WinXP

more fun with LAME - error in bitstream?
Hi folks! Having trouble with re-encoding to 160Kbps. I have: Linux-Mandrake 8.2 Icecast 1.3.12 IceS 0.2.2 source Lame 3.92 Hardware is: Celeron 533 w/256MB RAM, 40GB Disk All seems to work at first but after a few songs it craps out and give me an ERROR WITH BITSTREAM (or something real close...sorry). ALL of my MP3s are encoded using the --r3mix flag (VBR) with LAME 3.91 or 3.89. All

audio recorder compatibility
I'm shopping for a small/tiny audio recorder, the kind for recording in a class, interviews, etc... not really music, just voice. Per usual, a lot of these write their audio files in some Windows format, e.g., WMA. As a confirmed Linux guy, I'd want to offload the audio files in some format that Linux can read/play natively. I've read a sketchy suggestion that there's a Linux

Anyone using ffmpeg as a source-client?
I'm just wondering if ffmpeg is a reliable Icecast source-client -- a "pusher" to send a stream to an Icecast server and runs 24/7/365 dependably. -- That Jack Elliott (541) 848 7021 KPOV 88.9 FM High Desert Community radio Host, The Sunday Classics On 8/27/2019 10:58 AM, Alejandro wrote: > When you say as Source Client, means like listener? > > i'm using for push

Line input to client for Icecast Server
My needs are simple. I need a Windows client to accept the line input on my sound board and stream it to an Icecast server. I plan to encode the stream at 56kbps stereo. I tried this about 2 years ago using Winamp with the Oddsock plugin. This turned out to be a very time-wasting excersize in futility. I gave up, but now I'm back hoping the technology (and documentation) is there. My

Using stdin with ezstream
Sorry to bother you guys but I couldn't find the answer to my problem anywhere else. I've installed ezstream_win32_0.1.1_setup.exe to my Windows XP box and I am trying to use the stdin streaming functionality w/ IceCast v2.2. ezstream works well when I set the filename to a file, however, it does not work with stdin. With filename=stdin the source_client_connections stat in IceCast is

FLAC on Pocket PC
Hi, I'm trying to use FLAC (v1.1.0) on a Pocket PC (Toshiba e740). It compiles fine without any warning. When I try to compresse 16bits waves, everything is fine. When I try to compress 8bits waves, I get a audio mismatch error (FLAC__STREAM_ENCODER_VERIFY_MISMATCH_IN_AUDIO_DATA). Does anyone have had this problem? I can send the project if someone can look at it. Thanks, Jehan
