Speex and C5510
The TI directory of the Speex source distribution contains a C5509A project that builds and runs in TI's Code Composer Studio simulator. This project does file I/O to files specified in the main source file. See README.TI_DSP in the main directory for some tips. You should use the 1.2 beta 3 distribution. You should be able to load, build, and run this with no effort except to get the

Performance of the acoustic echo canceller
All, Wonder why all my posts has no line breaker when it displayed the forum... I used Hotmail(Windows Live Mail) with FireFox 2.0. I am posting this msg with IE 7.0 and see if it make any difference. Anybody experienced the same issue and how to workaround it? Thanks a lot! Performance of the acoustic echo canceller
Hi Jean-Marc, Thanks for the suggesting. I tried the test wtih my recording file offline through the testecho. I got the same result(no prepocessor echo suppression) as my recording file for that live call. Basically I don't see the difference between input_frame and output_frame. As I mentioned in my original post, the echo return loss is about 20db. I guess the echo cancelleris not really

Hi, i think it will work correct.when one thread use encode, the others wait for. in java, i think we can do like this: synchronized (Encode) { Encode.encode(short[] in, byte[] out); } In the doc of speex: it says the speex is not thread-safe. ------------------ ???? ------------------ ???: "????? ?????????"<romius99 at mail.ru>; ????: 2011?12?7?(???) ??4:00 ???:

Speex in a PocketPc crashes sometimes.
Hello Cesar I'm using Speex on a PPC2002 and PPC2003 with no problems. For tune-up remember to define the FIXED_POINT macro in Project->Settings in eVC. With this setting you ought to be able to at least decode in realtime while using debug-mode. Kind regards Bjoern D. TE410P: Double/missed interrupt detected
Any ideas on the following? (CVS 10/01/2003) Only reference I could find was a Zaptel change log update... 2003-09-02 18:23 martinp * wct4xxp.c (1.6): Get rid of the Double missed interrupt message every time you load the driver and an email refering this to serial console usage. SmartPhone ARM
I don't think a compiler is going to be enough. I tried perl scripting the output of a linux gcc cross-compiler to convert into something the assembler under eVC would consume. It errors on all the MAC type of instructions. I looked at www.arm.com (I never knew there could be so many arms) It does not look like the ARM720 has the MAC instructions. It also lists 75Mhz and 100Mhz as possible

writing issues on arm build !
Hi all. I am a student writing a voip program on ppc for a project for school. Before I explain my issue, let me apoligize for being extremely newbie :( Here's the situation: I am using the ARMV4 release build from the speex website. Right now I am simply trying to make an encode function using speex that will take an unsigned char* of raw wav data (8000 samples, 8 bits / sample, mono)

Speex Decoding in case of Yahoo
Hi folks, I am new with Speex, while looking for Voice Chat in MSN/Yahoo, i cam across Speex. In case of Yahoo, i found Speex with variable bit rate. and in this case, the speex_decode function is not producing any output. Does in case of variable bit rate, something else is to be done with decoding process. Please guide me, what to do. Thanx in advance Lokesh

Real time audio encoding - cpu usage

I would indeed like to know which functions can be used to improve K6-2 performance through 3DNow. Cheers Bjoern D. Rasmussen <p><p><p>>From: Jean-Marc

speex_decode() doesn't empty buffer in u-wideband and quality 4
Hello there I'm having trouble decoding speex frames when using 32KHz audio and quality setting 4. If I encode three frames and then decode the three frames then the speex_bits_remaining() still reports that there are bits remaining. All other band modes and qualities reports that the buffer is emptied. Here's an example that shows 4 bits remaing in the buffer after the frames have

unsigned and signed ?
In an earlier post I made about learning how to use speex someone nicely responded to me with a Speex Wrapper they had written.. however I am having an issue now where all I seem to hear is a ticking noise after encoding and decoding with speex. It is definitely getting proper data, as if I hit the mic somewhat I hear some extra crackling noises. Now, my code was nearly the same... but...

Need some clarifications about "speex_preprocess_run"
Simple questions:1. when this method is called for each frame, do I have to call them twice for both the encode process and the decode process?2. does preprocessor do preprocessing on raw PCM data or on encoded speex data? I need to clarify this because i want to know when should I call this function, before the encoding process (i.e. preprocess the pcm data) or after the encoding process (i.e.
