Most packet systems, such as PPP and SLIP, want at least 9600 baud to play
ball. Traditionally, low bandwidth systems like those are just open
streams. The protocols built on top of those - old stalwarts like YModem/G,
Kermit, and so forth - do admittedly generally chunk

ADM v. homemade code
Hi,
I am attempting to implement Answering Machine Detect and have also played
with using BackgroundDetect instead. Does anyone recommend one over the
other? Here is the code I am using for the BackgroundDetect method (from
voip-info.org).
Thanks.

Homemade packages.
I've recently installed R-1.4.0 and I'm having the devil's own
time trying to install a home-made package. As far as I can tell,
I'm doing the same things that I did previously, under 1.3.1, but
somehow everything goes haywire. (Quite possibly I'm simply
mis-remembering what I did before, but I can't for the life of me
figure out what to change).
A toy example of what I

[LLVMdev] Cloning BasicBlock
Hi ,
I am trying to clone a BasicBlock. I want both to co-exist and I have introduced
a conditional branch to the original or the cloned BB.
I tried mapping the original instruction and the clone as below :
Instruction *NewInst = II->clone();
if (II->hasName())
NewInst->setName(II->getName());
NewBB->getInstList().push_back(NewInst);
ValueMap[II] =

new centos 4.4 kernel
I have heard rumblings about the new kernel for 4.4
A change was made to the kernel for disk I/O to make it better/faster.
I havnt heard/seen anything about what that really translates to.
Any thoughts/opinions on this.

Rolling algorithm vs CRC
Hello,
I have previously mailed on list that I am trying to port rsync to NT. I was
wondering that whether CRC can be used to find check sums rather then
rolling algorithm. I havnt found any document on web comparing rolling
algorithm with CRC.

Adjusting x/y text labels for a bwplot using cex.lab
Searched for this and found some help, but I still can't figure it out.
I have trying to enlarge the x and y labels on my box plot. I understand
that you can do this using "cex.lab", but it does not seem to be working for
me. I must be adding it in the wrong spot. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Here is my code:

RFC: MCA/MCE concept
Hello!
The current MCA/MCE support in Xen is that it dumps the error and panics.
In the following concept I propose here, there are two places where Xen has to
react on.
I) Xen receives a MCE from the CPU and
II) Xen receives Dom0 instructions via Hypercall
The term "self-healing" below is used in the sense of using the most propriate
technique(s) to handle an error such as MPR

verbose IMAP logging
Hi,
Is there a way to enable telemetry or debug-level logging in Dovecot
IMAP, to see the exact IMAP command issued by the client and server?
E.g. to confirm if a certain MUA is indeed using IMAP IDLE, or if
it's doing LIST or LSUB.
The IMAP connection is made over TLS/SSL, so tcpdump won't work.
Thanks,
Robert

Hola,

The effects of queueing on delay
I have a router with 3 network interfaces like in the following ASCII
diagram below. All interfaces are 100mbit. There is tcp traffic being
sent from net1 to net3 and from net2 to net3 and the tcp connections
consume as much bandwidth as possible. There is a pfifo queue on the
egress interface eth0 of the core router with a limit of 10 packets.
net1 --> (eth1) router (eth0) -> net3
