CELT in Digital Radio Mondiale
Dear CELT Developers, I wrote a proposal on how to integrate CELT into Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM+). The CELT codec has been integrated in the Spark transmission software and SoDiRa receiver software. Please download the proposal here: http://www.drm-sender.de/celt_in_drm.pdf Suggestions and comments are welcome! A live on-air DRM+ transmission using CELT (v.0.7.1) for audio encoding was

logwatch and yum
Not sure if anybody noticed that logwatch is not reporting any stuff from /var/log/yum.log file. This is due to date format in log file (yum uses standard syslog date format, while logwatch script expects US date format). It seems that upstream doesn't ship with yum at all, so I guesss the problem was never detected there (and in most likeliness not applicable to it, although the upstream

Vorbis for digital radio at low bitrates
Dear Vorbis Devteam, My name is Michael Feilen and I've been working on Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) transmitters and receivers for quite a while now. DRM uses HE-AACv2 by Dolby to encode the audio content (see http://www.drm.org/uploads/media/es_201980v030101p.pdf - pages 23 ff). As I think Vorbis is an excellent alternative, I'd like to implement and define an interface for Vorbis

Digital speech within 100 Hz bandwidth
Dear Sir, Could you please forward this e-mail to your engineering department. I am a ham radio person who wants to transmit from the Earth to the moon and back to the Earth by phone not by Morris code. This will be a very weak signal. I need an extra 13.8 dB of gain. Could you please help me distribute the attached paper to someone who could take this project into the next level? Please reply

Digital speech within 100 Hz bandwidth
HA! Just when I was getting ready to drop myself from this list, along comes a ham radio question! Shoving digital voice down a 100 Hz pipe would be mighty darned tough/impossible. N0YMV has a good suggestion. Try those WSJT modes. They use narrow bandwidth and are fun to play with. There are documented instances where moon-bounce QSOs have been completed with these modes. No, it's

GraphNEL object retrieve edgenumber from acc() or is it list of lists?
Hello everyone, Im working with graphNEL object and want to extract all the nodes which have adjacent nodes with at least 20 nodes in between them. acc(graph, graphnodes) obviously provides a list for the accessable nodes of every node from a node and a number of the edges between them. Like this: $`hsa:8379` hsa:100131844 hsa:10393 hsa:246184 hsa:29882 hsa:29945 1

If I use the command "length(data)" I get back a number which corresponds to the number of variables which were imported. Here it is 82. Now I only want to know the names of the imported variables to modify my program. Can anyone help me? My knowledge which I tested yet to

New Adobe Reader works on CentOS-4.x, speech synthesis reader & more.
Just and FYI. In RPM form, works on 4.x and I will try on 5.x too. Speech is tacky, but if I can get something but the Gnome Festival synthesizer, maybe it will improve? http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html?promoid=BONRM -- Bill
