Init SSL without certificate database
Good Day,
We are getting "Init SSL without certificate database? in response to all requests.
The NUT software is installed on Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS.
All the documentation that we have found that references this error have some sort of hack.
Why doesn?t the package support a published path or environment variable where a user can point to a functional certificate database?

Ubuntu 16.04 libvirt-guests.sh [6917] - running guests under URI address default: no running guests
Hi
I have recently upgraded from Ubuntu 15.04 to 16.04 and now everytime I
shutdown my PC I get a black screen where it says "libvirt-guests.sh [6917]
- running guests under URI address default: no running guests" and the PC
just hangs forever and will not shutdown. I need to manually kill it in
order to shut it down which is a pain in the ass. I have done some
investigation and here is

Question/comment about -n (dry run) flag of rsync
Rsync is a remarkably handy tool that I use virtually every day.
But there is one thing about rsync that drives me totally crazy.
Under the -n (dry run) flag, rsync seems to produce exactly the same output
as without that flag.
I cannot tell you how many times I sit and scratch my head long and
hard, after I discover that my intended rsync operations did not actually
happen. Until I finally

I'm running CentOS7 as my host and when I was using Virtualbox, I had my
VM's autostarting for a while. I simply followed this answer [0] on

Hey
FWIW, I have virsh running on my laptop too and no virtual machines
registered to autostart but my laptop reboots just fine and shows no traces
of any warnings.
Cheers,
Dominik

Customized theme for Syslinux.cfg
Greetings Syslinux forum,
I used this link; https://askubuntu.com/questions/1090891/grub-menu-colors and I followed it's tutorial for implementing the grub theme and was able to delete the menu border by creating a customized grub theme for UEFI boot (grub.cfg)! Do you know if the "syslinux.cfg"(legacy boot grub) can have it's border removed, like do you know if

Fwd: Re: RSiteSearch, sos, rdocumentation.org, ...?
OK. It is sort of fixed and sort of works.
We'll keep it for now, but this is not going to work forever. When
namazu fails completely I will not have the time to install a new
search engine.
One option is to use google. For a site like this, I think they will
want some money, but I'm not sure, and I do not have the time to deal
with it.
We have over 10,000 packages now. I wonder if

Localhost imap server fails after upgrade from 2.2.33.2-1 to 1:2.3.2.1
Hello Stephan,
I'm interested to see this get fixed (and ideally one day for it to be
really easy for people to set up Alpine so that it competes fairly with
heavier GUIs!), but I do not know that I am qualified to help (beyond
light testing). Is there someone from Alpine on this thread? The second
(askubuntu.com) link you give is my own question (and answer, based on Aki

Thanks for keeping us updated. Before I jump the gun and put this out on
social media (as a follow-up to this tweet

say this is a reasonable message to send to the R-using Ubuntu community?:

Success : Ubuntu 17.10 x86_64 on LLVM/clang-built kernel with LLVM/clang-built Nvidia 390.25 driver
Hello All,
This is about my successful experience in bringing up Ubuntu 17.10 x86_64
on the clang-built Linux 4.15.7 kernel(latest stable as of early March
2018) and clang-built proprietary Nvidia 390.25(latest as of early March

share the same here for any similarly interested people out here. By the

Laptop recommendation
Hello,
I am looking for a laptop with the following specs:
Built-in GSM module
Trusted platform module
Support for these modules, as for the network (Ethernet + WiFi) for
RHEL/Centos6.
I tested Lenovo W540, and the WiFi is not detected. lspci shows:

I came across
