parsing numeric values
Dear list, I'm seeking advice to extract some numeric values from a log file created by an external program. Consider the following example, input <- readLines(textConnection( "some text <ax> = 1.3770E-03 <bx> = 3.4644E-07 <ay> = 1.9412E-04 <by> = 4.8840E-08 other text <aax> = 1.3770E-03 <bbx> = 3.4644E-07

Dovecot 1.2 - Quotas - Ignoring Trash folder
Hello guys, Firstly I would like to state that I am fairly new to Dovecot. I have played around with it in the past here and there but mainly with debian packages. I have compiled this version of Dovecot from source, so please go easy with me. Ok now down to my questions: I am having trouble getting Dovecot to 'ignore' the Trash folder when summing up the used quota for a user.

This is the output I get first from the AD DC when I do a getent: root at dc1:/etc# getent group 'Domain Admins' AD\domain admins:x:3000004: root at dc1:/etc# getent passwd 'stephen'

NUT Client shuts down when performing runtime calibration on APC UPS
I've setup nas4free (latest version 11.0.0.4, which has NUT 2.7.4) in a VM and configured it via webinterface to my APC UPS and set "shutdown mode" to "UPS goes on battery" with a timer of 30s. Then I started runtime calibration on the UPS and after 30s nas4free has shut down! I think this is not the correct behavior, since the status was "OB CAL". The system

Some help with sudo on remote side of rsync
I have an rsync script that has worked well for me for quite a while now rsyncing RAID volumes attached to two servers, one on our LAN and one at our colocation facility. I have been struggling for months, however, to get the script to run without password prompts so I can run it on cron. The rsync script is running on the system at the colo and ?pulling? files from the LAN system

XEN 4.0.2-rc2 - using OCAML xenstored -- xend not starting?
Hi All, I just tried a new installation of Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit) + Xen and am having some trouble starting XEN. I am using the latest mercurial checkout (4.0.2-rc2) and the only change I made was to Config.mk to enable building the OCAML version of xenstored. " CONFIG_OCAML_XENSTORED ?= y". I am using the same kernel I built earlier for a similar Ubuntu 10.04-64bit / Xen 4.0.0

rsnapshots/rsync 2 shares
Slightly OT maybe: at a customer we run the main data share on the samba file server (access defined via Windows ACLs) ... so far no surprise ;-) then we let a 2nd server pull snapshots via rsnapshot (you know: https://rsnapshot.org/) and provide the resulting tree of snapshots via samba again: read-only, only for some admin users So far OK, runs for years (although it gets slower, other topic)

Share migration
Hello, I will change a old samba share (SMB1 samba 3) to a new samba 4.8.3 (as unix domain member server). For this, I will copy datas from old share to the share via a rsync ssh command : rsync -aAX --progress --delete --stats --human-readable -e "ssh -p 22" root at oldsambaserver:/mypath/* /mypath/ This command copy also all the acls from the old samba share and apply it on the

Rsync ACLs over NFSv4 to EXT4 - rsync_xal_set: lsetxattr - Operation not supported
I think this is an NFS or ext4 question, but wanted to post this here for a sanity check. :) I've been searching for over a week for a solution and have turned up nil. I'm trying to rsync with options -AX over an NFSv4 mount TO an ext4 drive FROM an ext4 drive and both have acl and user_xattr enabled. The command: rsync -aAX /data/ /mnt/back/data results in: rsync:
