signal for shutdown in lxc driver
Hello!
Try to use libvirt with lxc.
I use latest centos6 amd64 as a libvirt host (libvirt from xen4 repo)
libvirt-daemon-1.2.15-3.el6.x86_64
In container I also use latest centos6 amd64. Container starts with
/sbin/init. CentOS 6 came with upstart as default init.
My problem is that I could not shutdown container correctly with libvirt.
virsh -c lxc:/// shutdown test
Domain test is being

Is -R --link-dest really hard to use, or is it me?
I've got a problem for which the combination of -R and --link-dest
doesn't seem to be quite enough---and I may have discovered a few
small bugs as well; test cases are below.
[And if someone has a scheme for doing this that doesn't involve rsync
at all, but works okay, I'm all ears as well---I'm not the first with
this problem.]
Here's my problem: I unfortunately need to

Newpoint 200897 UPS
I got sick & tired of constant power outages with no warning, so when I
saw various UPSes at the store, I decided to get one, and the one I got
was a model 200897 from Newpoint (a.k.a. Power Sentry). A couple of days
later the power went out and I decided to use the opportunity to hook up
the UPS. I added up the wattages of the equipment I would be connecting,
and found that the only way I

WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT while Joining Samba4 DC to Samba4 Domain
I thought I had posted already, but my first message may have been confusing. Here is the output of the domain join:
$ sudo samba-tool domain join redacted.domain.local DC -U"REDACTED\my.domain.admin" --dns-backend=SAMBA_INTERNAL
Finding a writeable DC for domain 'redacted.domain.local'
Found DC samba4dom.redacted.domain.local

WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT while Joining Samba4 DC to Samba4 Domain
I am not able to join a second domain controller to the domain, though. Is this a samba bug, or is there something I can do to fix the WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT error?

Winbind issue connecting to trusted domain controllers
Hi.
The quick question: Is there a way of forcing a Samba server that is an Active Directory member server to limit lookups to it's local domain only and not all trusted domains?
The question in more detail:
I have a Samba server that is joined to my local AD domain ("css.ad.example.com"). There are other domains under ad.example.com such as lps.ad.example.com and
