Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
v2.2.19 has many fixes related to dsync+imapc, which were found while migrating several million users from GMail. I'm not aware of any problems with it now. Also even before v2.2.19 dsync+imapc has been used to successfully do many large migrations.

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hi,
I think you tried to read cyrus mails folders directly. I was talking about fething mails from cyrus over imapc connection.

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hi,
No, I tried fetching over imapc too exactly as you suggested.
In my case it was not from cyrus, but from CriticalPath.
isync was finally able to do the job, preserving flags and doing UIDs
mapping. The most boring part was generating proper config file for
thousands of accounts.
A working imapc/dsync would have been better.
Emmanuel.

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hello,
Because it did not work ?
In a similar situation, we where forced to use isync/mbsync in imap to
imap mode because dsync did not work.
It was reported here more than a year ago (May 2014).
Time to time, I see the same report from other trying to use dsync to do
a migration to dovecot.
Dsync is a very appealing and elegant solution to this usage, but it
does not always work in real

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Thank you for the reply. I did find imapsync whilst perusing Google. I
will give it a shot, it sounds more realistic/reliable. I have a hoard
of emails going back to 1999, so I want as few errors as possible :)

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hi,
With imapsync you will lose message UIDs which means that IMAP clients need to clear their local caches and redownload all messages. Why not use dovecot dsync over imapc instead? It tries to preserve UIDs and Flags.

Problems Converting from Cyrus to Dovecot (cyrus2dovecot)
Hi there,
I was in the same position, but for mutliple accounts. Still you might want to look at imapsync (https://github.com/imapsync/imapsync), isync and offlineimap. There are more alternatives listed at the imapsync homepage.

(slightly OT) syncing / migrating IMAP mailboxes
Hi!
I fear this may be slightly off-topic but it's both related to IMAP and to
dovecot:
Is there any good and in paticular realiable program for synching /
migrating one IMAP mailbox to another? The most important features for me
is that a) no mails are lost / left out silently and b) the porgram is
able to sync the complete mailbox including all folders without just
giving up in the

How to backup maildir
Hello Robert,
[... snip ...]
of course I'm totally with you: asking other people for help, is often
a good - if even not the only way to getting things done. It was not
my intention to insult you! I hope this did not come in to your mind ...
Personally I would have a look at the mentioned Dovecot-backup-script
as a start. It does really a very good job! Cudos to Klaus Tachtler!

Addind kmail to EPEL
I finally decided to move from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7, but was surprised
to see that kmail is no longer included: Red Hat deliberately decided
to omit it.
How can I ask that kmail be added to EPEL? The information on EPEL's
site basically says to submit it myself, but that's above my
capabilities.

[LLVMdev] Compilation problem when addind a library
Hi !
Here is the situation. I created a pass in lib/Transforms/Obfuscation. I added a createFlattening() in IPO.h and in my code
to be able to use it in PassManagerBuilder.cpp (lib/Transforms/IPO) in the method PopulateModulePassManager() so I can add my pass to standard passes.
It all works if I add all my files in the lib/Transforms/IPO directory.
But I want to keep them away in the

I've recently migrated a server with imapsync with 150Gb of email and 200+ accounts. I found the trick with this was the run imapsync in several runs: Messages older than 1 year; messages older than 6 months; messages

IMAP Migration Tools
Hi,
I am looking for tools to migrate Mails from one IMAP-Server to
another. Until now I have always used imapsync, but it seems very
slow. Even over a 2x10GB/s connection I only get speeds of about
600KiB/s, because the programm always pauses betweeen every single
mail.
Does anyone here have a suggestion for an alternative?
Thanks in advance

authenticate plain, and virtual users
I'm running dovecot 2.2.14 on Archlinux. I've been using it with the
isync syncing utility for quite some time with no problems, using the
LOGIN authentication mechanism. Recently Isync was updated to support
PLAIN, and I'm having trouble moving to that. The authenticate string
that isync is sending is not the one that dovecot is expecting.
I suspect this is because of how I have

Thanks for the suggestion. I think my next step will be to investigate
imapsync, or maybe isync, which also looks promising.

[LLVMdev] Inserting Instructions (pass)
Thank you Chris,
for your hint, but I am still too stupid. I tried two versions
asm_arguments.push_back(Type::VoidTy);
FunctionType *asm_type = FunctionType::get(Type::VoidTy, asm_arguments,
false);
Alternatively
FunctionType *asm_type = FunctionType::get(Type::VoidTy, std::vector<const
Type*>(), false);
. Can you give me a snippet of example code, or somebody else?
