--link-dest not working on remote server (running daemon)
Thanks for the reply. The link-dest is different. It is Feb 1 while the
source is Feb 2.
I tried setting path = /media/external/ for the daemon and using
rsync -a -v -i --delete --link-dest=backup-2016-02-01-0100
--password-file=/media/external/scripts/offsite_rsync.pass
/media/external/backup/backup-2016-02-02-0100 backup at 192.168.2.102:
:offsite/backup
So all three (link-dest, source,

param should be a different date than the other two.

--link-dest not working on remote server (running daemon)
Hello,
I have read through the list of previous issues regarding this issue but
haven't been able to resolve mine. I apologize in advance for the long text
and am probably doing some simple typo. I have two servers in my setup:
*Server 1*
Doing rsync with --link-dest daily and working as expected. I'm getting the
hard links in the new daily directories.
*Server 2*

Statistical Quality Control
Greetings,
I've been familiarizing myself with the features of R over the past few
days. I'm impressed with the quality and quantity of the features and
packages. One feature that I would be interested in would be a package for
statistical quality control. Does a package for statistical quality control
exist that I've been unable to locate?
If not, is anyone aware of efforts to

Re: Ajax.Request question with JSON return
Do I need something like this:
eval(''('' + this.header(''X-JSON'') + '')'')
(taken from Cody Swann,
http://ajaxian.com/archives/prototype-extension-dynamic-script-pattern-support
).
I''m guessing my problem is simpler, and I''m leaving something small out
related to the header though.
Thanks for any help

Timed Out or Disconnect Errors on emails with attachments
Hello all,
I've migrated our Maildir system from Courier-IMAP-SSL to Dovecot with
SSL and now we're getting "Connection to <server> Timed Out" errors when
sending mail with attachments. The mail gets sent, however it doesn't
save the mail in the user's "Sent" folder.
Our IMAP and SMTP servers are different. So the client sends to the

[LLVMdev] this code won't assemble on sparc
Hi,
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. With the single source file
attached to this email, I tried the following commands:
llvmgcc -o timeLLVMfft timeLLVMfft.c -lm
llc -o timeLLVMfft.s timeLLVMfft.bc
/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -xarch=v9 -o timeLLVMfft.sparc timeLLVMfft.s
I got the errors at the bottom of this email in response to the last
command. On the other hand, gcc v2.95.3 had

recommended package/docs for analyzing multiple choice tests
Hi,
What package would you recommend for analyzing the
validity/reliability of multiple choice tests. Doing things such as
classical test analysis, factor analysis, item response theory.
I've used psychometric (item.exam), MiscPsycho (alpha.Summary), and ltm
(rcor.test). MiscPsycho reported the numbers most similar to what I get
in SPSS: corrected point biserial correlations,

[LLVMdev] LLVM/Clang on Sparc64
Thanks to Jakob's work on Sparcv9 ABI in Clang and recent changes to
Sparc code generator, I am happy to announce that Clang can self host
itself on Linux/Sparc64 and on FreeBSD/Sparc64.
However, it still fails on a few unit tests and nightly tests,
primarily due to misaligned memory accesses in the code (See bugs
18482, 18500, 18502, 18536, 18693). Unlike other architectures,

Howto align partitions in Linux + NetApp
Hi,
NetApp support has suggested us aligning partitions to improve
performance, in short: starting sector must be divisible by 8. How can I
move the start point in a misaligned partition -in production, with
ext3- under Linux?
A screenshot with a misaligned (start=63s) and aligned (start=64s)
partition is available at:

[PATCH v2 0/2] vhost-scsi: Fix IO hangs when using windows
The following patches were made over Linus's tree and fix an issue
where windows guests will send iovecs with offset/lengths that result
in IOs that are not aligned to 512. The LIO layer will then send them
to Linux's FS/block layer but it requires 512 byte alignment, so
depending on the FS/block driver being used we will get IO errors or
hung IO.
The following patches have vhost-scsi

[LLVMdev] Vector argument passing abi for ARM ?
Hi all,
I was wondering if there is a defined ABI for passing vector as parameter for ARM target.
For instance is this valid to write .ll statement like:
; ModuleID = 'bugconv.ll'
target datalayout = "e-p:32:32:32-i1:8:8-i8:8:8-i16:16:16-i32:32:32-i64:64:64-f32:32:32-f64:64:64-v64:64:64-v128:128:128-a0:0:64-n32"
target triple = "thumbv7-none-linux-androideabi"

[GSoC] Supporting Efficiently the Shift-vector Instructions of the Connex Vector Processor
Hello, Anton,
I'd like to add a small reply regarding this GSoC project that I would like to mentor
and I discussed also with Andrei.
A good part of our GSoC project is indeed related to this Connex back end that it's
not yet part of the LLVM source repository - an important thing proposed in the project is
that we plan to perform efficient realignment for this Connex vector
