Transfer hangs, both sides waiting on receive
Hi,
We're encountering a rather weird, sporadic hang during a large-file
transfer. A bit of background on the setup:
- Host A rsyncs a MySQL database from Host B. Both sides use rsync
3.1.1 on Debian Jessie.
- Host B serves the files using rsync --daemon from an ext4 filesystem
residing on a thin LVM snapshot.
- Host A uses the following command to rsync the files to a btrfs

a domain VTx with the VNIF does hang.
Hi all, my name is Hirofumi Tsujimura.
We are porting and testing a PV-on-HVM in the IPF.
This is a first time to send mail.
I probably found the problem when I tested the VNIF.
My operation for the test is following.
1. create a domain VTx and attach the VNIF in it.
2. create a domain U.
3. send a packet to the domain VTx from the domain U with ping
command.
Then, the domain VTx

command 'service smb status' returns many process IDs
Hello,
I have a Samba4 server running on Linux CentOS 6. Many users use this Samba service from their Windows PCs. After the Samba service is started (service smb stop ; service smb start), days later, just don't know when, running the command 'service smb status' would return many process IDs, like this:
smbd (pid 32557 32240 32204 32202 31880 31874 31788 31714 31707 31337 31107

smbfs not showing all files
I've a PC with a 2.2.13 kernel and Samba 2.0.7. It serves shares to our lan and
has had no problems since its install.
Recently, I tried to copy a bunch of files from an older OS/2 server to the
Samba server via smbclient and smbmount. Neither shows all the files in a few of
the several directories on the OS/2 server, and neither agrees with the other as
to the actual number of files.

Segmentation fault
Hi!
I'm running NUT 2.0.4 and occasionally I get a segfault when starting
newhidups and if I don't get a segfault when starting newhidups the
process starts eating away at my memory. I sat down trying to genererate
-DDDDD debug info, but just because of that I can't get it to do a
segfault. So until I can, has things changed in the development version,
that might have fixed this?

How to obscure/encrypt password parameter?
Hi all-
I am building an application that includes a login screen. During
development I found that user passwords are logged by Rails in plain
text -- this will not be acceptable to my users. Is there a way to
obscure/encrypt incoming password parameters or not write them to the
log files at all? One thought was to use Javascript, but I was not sure
how secure that would be.
Thanks,
Josh

[PATCHv3] virtio-spec: 64 bit features, used/avail event, fixes
Add an option to modify the notificatin
hand-off in virtio to be basically like Xen:
each side published an index, the other side only triggers
an event when it crosses that index value
(Xen event indexes start at 1, ours start at 0 for
backward-compatiblity, but that's minor).
Since we've run out of bits in the 32 bit field,
I added another 32 bit and bit 31 enables that.
I started with
