When building the mini initrd, previously we copied the modules into the initrd as-is, so for example if the module was xz-compressed, we copied the foo.ko.xz file to the initrd. Apparently rsync breaks on FreeBSD if you turn off -O2 (which is the default.) The breakage is apparently inside zlib. You'd have to think it was a compiler bug, but perhaps not.
