Can my jpyeron user be blessed to update the WIKI, so a CentOS 6 and CentOS 7 VPAT can be posted?

DADMS is a Navy system, but yes Centos is approved for use by DISA. You would

But you will still need a (self?) support plan to be STIG compliant.

let me chase that up,
I dont really understand what a VPAT might be, looks to be US centric -
but it also looks like it aims to make assertions on and from the CentOS
project side. best to work it via the board first.

Why?? NFS cached permissions groups etc
An hour of my life disapeared and my beautiful uptime was rebooted and it was
fixed by reading
http://serverfault.com/questions/98900/is-a-reboot-required-to-refresh-permissio
ns-after-adding-a-user-to-a-new-group
#/home is mounted from a NFS export

Split dns issues
We have internal DNS servers that will override the A record for selected hosts.
Example mail.pdinc.us will have a different internal ip than external. This has
always been a fine way to handle it as the zone files are for that specific
host, and there have never been subdomains before.
Now we want to just override the MX records for pdinc.us without having to merge
or manage all the records for

I would recommend RHEL for critical systems or those that must be
certified for a particular purpose, such as CA servers.

Sso the Linux way?
So I was googling around about this over the last week and here is what I
found:
nis/yp is for some reason bad.
Kerbos is holy, but no how-to's that don't involve windows and active
directory.
What is the recommended sso approach for centos? Where are there examples /
docs to follow?

[OT] Godaddy hell...
Can I get some recommendations:
We are looking for a hosting provider (other than godaddy) with
1: SLA
2: SSH access
3: subversion/rsync or the ability to install binaries / compile source.
Would like them to include http/https and email.
Any suggestions?

Procmail recipie to forward via smtp
I was in a hurry to forward email to our internal exchange server before my
vaction, the best way I found after too much googling was to use
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/system/mail/smtpsend-1.02.tgz and
:0
|smtpsend -to=user at pdinc.us -server=exchange
Was there a way to do this without smtpsend?

ntpd
I am running a server inside of VMWare, and the clock gains ~30 seconds
every 1000 seconds or 1.03X.
I need to keep the drift under the magic 1000 limit that ntpd kills its
self, but despite setting maxpoll really low I get:

[OT] PXE Boot / image server for non-profit's computers
This is the best collection of minds I can think of on this topic, that's why it
is on this list. I think it is too subjective for stackoverflow.
So here is the problem:
The community center has multiple computers for the children (and adult
students) to use. These computer are always donated and the hardware is all
different. Currently the systems are running Windows (but this may change).

Downgrade samba?
After reading http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2003-November/001828.html
what would the best approach for downgrading samba-3.0.10-1.4E.12.2 to 2.7
on centos4, then later upgrading back to current?
