Raise Domain functional level to 2012_R2
Hi, I am trying to raise the Domain functional level to 2012_R2 from 2008 R2 using samba-too domain raise --domain-level=DOMAIN_LEVEL command. But I am receiving the error "ERROR: Domain function level can't be higher than the lowest function level of a DC!". How do we actually raise the lowest functional level to change the functional & forest level? Samba Version is

Raising Domain Level
G'day All, We are trying to raise the level of our test samba4 DCs. Our windows dude wants the Domain level to be 2012_R2. I am referencing: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Raising_the_Functional_Levels#Supported_Functional_Levels We managed to get both domain and forest levels to 2008 R2 - forest was 2003. However, when we try to raise further, we are getting what seems to be a

Raise Domain functional level to 2012_R2
Hello Andrew, first let me say it was a pleasure to meet you in G?ttingen at the SambaXP. The discussion about the "DNS" in the evening was very interesting. So, i have asked this question a few weeks before, maybe a entry in the samba wiki would help ;) Regards from Germany Dirk Am 13.06.19 um 18:55 schrieb Andrew Bartlett via samba: > On Thu, 2019-06-13 at 20:48 +0530,

raising domain and forest levels
I am seeing domain and forest levels for 2012R2 mentioned in the wiki pages. Has anyone in a production environment "raised" their domain and forest levels to 2012R2 yet? Am I correct that this would only apply to v4.5.0 or higher? -- _______________________________ Bob Wooden of Donelson Trophy

Server 2012 functional level for Samba v4.6?
Hallo, there is not much happening on this topic in mailing list, so I hope there is a base to revive this old thread. I see that Samba is making great progress, but as usually, it is hard to keep up with Microsoft changes. So far, Samba supports 2008 R2 DFL, and has only experimental support for 2012 R2 DFL. However, the demand for DFL 2012 R2 will be rising considerably I think, since

SAMBA 4.20 - function level upgrade
Thanks for getting back to me. Sadly I've not had the time today to attempt the reproduction. Can you, just to save me time, double-check if this happens on a server with the Samba 4.20 being a just from-our-tarball Samba and show the logs that gives? pwdLastSet, password required to change (samba vs MSAD)
Hi, We are using keycloak with our samba-4.4.4 AD environment. (an ldaps client application) Keycloak is able to ask users to change their passwords, when the checkbox "require password change upon next logon" is set in ADUC. However, in our environment (samba-4.4.4) keycloak simply refuses the logons when tht checkbox is set. ("bad username or password") RedHat
