Samba Sysvol and GPO Issues
Hi Rowland.
I'm using CentOS 8.2.2004
The Samba is compiled from sources, it's the only DC and I'm not using it
as a fileserver.

samba ad errors in log
I'm seeing a lot of these errors from a Samba 4.13.0 DC running on
Debian Buster, the smb.conf is untouched from that which was created
via a classic upgrade.

NT_STATUS_INVALID_SID
I have a brand-new install of Debian 8 without systemd and a
freshly-built Samba 4 install with issues. I created this as a
standalone AD DC, setup group policies, etc and then took it to the
client location. Now nothing works. I keep getting "RPC server
unavailable" on Windows machines and trying to list shares on the DC
itself results in NT_STATUS_INVALID_SID. I am lost as there are

GPO fail and sysvol perm errors
GPO's fail to apply on Windows clients and sysvol permission errors are logged.
DC is Samba 4.13.0 created via a classic upgrade.
Logged sysvol errors (uid 5025 is the system I ran gpupdate on, don't
know what uid 3000011 refers to):

Only domain admins can access shares
I've set up a single server with a DC and fileserver. I've read through all docs and the warnings on the wiki (VERY well done, many thanks to all the contributors) more than once so I hope I haven't missed anything.

Share access permission errors after upgrade from 4.12.14
Hello,
Issue Description
After the upgrade of the Unraid server OS (unraid.net) from v6.9.2 to v6.12.6 (which upgrades the version of Samba from 4.12.14 to 4.17.12) access to shares stops working.

Hi folks,
The smb.conf and other information after specification of the problems.
The journal on a AD domain member server is cluttered with permission

wbinfo -r 'username' displays inconsistent results across DC's
Hello,
Looking up a users group membership I'm showing different results
on each DC. UID and GID mapping appears consistent but not all group
membership is displayed. I've verified idmap.ldb is backup up and copied
over to the other DC's. I do notice when taking a hot backup of
idmap.ldb, the file size is dramatically smaller than the original.

Samba Sysvol and GPO Issues
Selinux is disabled.
I don't know.
The GUID and UID in sysvol directories are numbers like 3000004:30000010.
Is it normal?
Thanks!

Cant access home folder after 4.13.x
Hi
I've been using Samba from pkgsrc successfully on Illumos, SmartOS
specifically until I moved to 4.17.11. When I try to access my home folder
on Linux I get,
chdir_current_service: vfs_ChDir(/home/fukr/kev) failed: Permission denied.
Current token: uid=10000, gid=10001, 3 groups: 10001 10000 10002
My home folder permissions are 700. If I change to 755 it works fine. My
