Error Upgrading Schema
Hello! I just upgraded from Samba v4.10.9 to v4.11.15. The upgrade seems to have gone smoothly. As part of major release maintenance, I ran the following command on my schema master DC: > samba-tool domain schemaupgrade I get the following output: > Temporarily overriding 'dsdb:schema update allowed' setting > Patched Sch49.ldf using

I'm wondering if anyone can make any suggestions? Rowland? Andrew? Even if it's just to suggest a framework for troubleshooting on my own? I really appreciate any time you can spare. Thank you, Andrew! This evening I attempted the upgrade. I first carefully commented out each of the attributes from the Schema-Updates.md file. I then saved the file and ran the following command, which gave me the subsequent output: (as root) # samba-tool domain schemaupgrade Temporarily overriding 'dsdb:schema update allowed' setting Patched Sch49.ldf using

Schema version 87 and windows Hello
Hi all, I would like to set up windows Hello (in the sense user and management are pressuring me) but for both option the schema would need to be at least 87 (windows 2016). I looked on the roadmap, bugzilla but couldn't find anything regarding this topic. Would you know when this version would be available and what is needed in order to achieve so? As a separate question, do you know good

Schema version 87 and windows Hello
Hi Andrew, I'm very interested in using Windows Hello for Business in small business environments, with Samba as the AD DC. I'm sorry that I don't have great news. dir.xiph.org stats & metadata not posting
Hi there, We are currently in the process of migrating our online radio stations to Azuracast, everything is working well except when we attempt to post On Air and Listener stats to your directory, they don't show up. Additionally, the listing can't be found in searches most of the time, but occasionally will come back for a few minutes and then disappear. I've setup a test station at

Hi, can you check the log for the actual messages where it adds the stream to the directory? It should contain information if listing fails or succeeds and the server sends back the reason. samba-tool domain schemaupgrade fails on DC member
Hi, This is a known issue: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12204 https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13713 There are currently patches in master to fix this issue. We could probably backport a patch to 4.10, but you'd have to rebuild Samba. Alternatively, re-joining the domain controller (or joining a new DC and demoting the old one) probably works because I believe there

samba-tool domain schemaupgrade fails on DC member
Hi, While I think we have most of the 2012 schema problems under control now, there's still quite a bit of work to get the functional level things working. In order to actually raise the level, we still need to implement a number of features (mostly security). We're able to do some prep steps (so that things like Windows server 2012 R2 appear to join us but still use 2008 R2 FL) but
