Samba 4.11.11, 4.10.17 and 4.12.5 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Hi everyone, I've posted some rpm builds of samba 4.11.11, 4.10.17 and 4.12.5 for RHEL/Centos 7.x (currently 7.7). These rpms use the python3 and python3-devel rpms introduced in the standard RHEL/Centos repos at the same time as the 7.7 version. Comments and/or testing feedback would be most welcomed. http://nova.polymtl.ca/~coyote/dist/samba/samba-4.12.5

Geoblocking on Icecast stations (radionomy)
Hi, I stumpled upon Icecast, but I effectively can only play few stations because somehow most of the stations that I'm interested in use the radionomy service. After some research I found out that I'm not the only one and that this company is blocking many countries worldwide: https://www.google.com/search?q=this+radio+station+is+not+available+in+your+country+site:board.radionomy.com

Hi Konstantin, True, for 4.11.y I didn't backport the changes I made on 4.9.x/4.10.x for glusterfs. Is this what you were talking about? LDAP bindpw password
Hi. I'm using Samba 4 on two Zentyal servers as Domain Controller and now I have to authenticate some services to it (Apache and PAM in particular). The LDAP integration asks me for a LDAP bind password, but I cannot find out where it is on Zentyal. Is there a way to check (or change it) directly on Samba 4? Or is it preferable to authenticate against Active Directory or Kerberos? Thank you

using samba-tool from a domain member other than the DC
Top posting. Is this in freenas jail, perhaps? If so, I'd take a long hard look at the underlying environment. Semi off-topic. FreeNAS on FreeBSD has a whole set of really weird issues, IMO. For example; I was trying to get rsync or rdiff-backup to run [not in a jail, but just in the base context] and performance was really terrible and it would bomb for larger file syncs to a remote Linux

Private Key Unavailable After Domain Password Change
Hi All! We are currently running one AD DC on 4.11.12 and one on 4.10.17 (scheduled for replacement later this month). Sometimes when a user changes their domain password, we are seeing an issue where the private key is no longer available. Users on Windows 10 v1909 or v2004. This does not happen to all users. We have users connecting to one of our environments using OpenVPN. We have been using

Samba 4.7 package-aware print driver
Hi ! I have seen on Wiki that samba 4.7 print server is package-aware: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Automatic_Printer_Driver_Downloads_for_Windows_Clients To use package-aware drivers: - Run Samba 4.7 and later - Enable the spoolssd service Also in https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Print_Server Support package-aware Windows drivers.
