No mapping on second fileserver
Hi,
We recently switched our NT4 Domain to AD.
We have 2 AD serves using sernet packages on debian buster with bind9
dns backend, isc-dhcpd updated by the dyndns script.
Files are served by a AD member server (AKA fileserver) on debian
buster, too. It's using the original debian samba packages.
However, I am still far away from calling myself familiar with samba 4
AD :(.
Nevertheless, I

Adding acls for Unix Users
Hi,
After we switched from an old NT4 PDC to a new AD DC, I am in the
process of changing the file/directory rights on our fileserver.
Some parts of the files/dirs on our fileserver are offered read-only to
the public (intranet only) by a webserver running on the same host.
However, I can't find an option to add the "Principal" www-data in my
windows tools and I was told that

deleting dynamic dns records
Hi,
We have 2 DCs with isc-dhcp and bind9 on debian buster using sernet
packages. Those serve about 40 known (MAC:IP mapped by dhcp) clients and
and offer the net 10.0.254.0/24 for unknown guests ... the internal LAN
is 10.0.0.0/16.
We use the dhcp-dyndns.sh to write the dns records into the AD.
Though writing works better than expected only a very few records will
be deleted :(

Hi,
I have set up daily backup using rsync to collect the data and
afterwards I use afio to write the data to tape.
I do:
$RSYNC -avbu --backup-dir=$PART/$HOST/old -e ssh --exclude-from $EXCLUDE
root@$HOST:/ $PART/$HOST > $LOG/$HOST-$DATE.log
to sync files.
Since the tape capacity is limited I exclued the /$PART/$HOST/old dirs,
form the afio call. These are backuped separately on weekly

W2K3 Server + RAS + Samba 3.0 Domain
Hi !
I?m trying to figure out if it?s possible to add a W2K3 Server into a
Samba 3.0 Domain and then have the RAS-Service on the W2K3 server
authenthicate against the Samba Domain.
Bringing the 2K3 into the Domain was not much of a problem, working fine
so far, i can log on using Domain users etc.
But i?ve been trying for a week now and i can?t get the RAS Service
working properly. It always

AGEod American Civil War vs. Wine 1.1.18
Hi,
I'm trying to run AACW (and WIA) under Ubuntu 8.10 x84. I installed Wine 1.1.18, Winetricks and installed AACW and patched the game up to 1.13b. Unfortenately, the game won't start because of an error ("Exception EAccessViolation dans le module AACW.exe dans 00004054. Violation d'access a l'adresse 00404054 dans le module 'AACW.exe'. XEN 4.3.0: Hanging xl restore processes after reboot
Hello all,
after XEN 4.3.0 with Kernel 3.10.9 has restored suspended (saved) Domains there are still some processes around
which from my point of view should have disappeared after restoring.
This entries are still in the Process list:

XEN - Routed and Bridget Mode together (mixed)
Hi,
is there any possibility to get a XEN DomO and DomU running with
bridget and routed mode together.
The reason behind this is, to get the requests via the official IPs to
the DomU''s (routed-mode) and the interworking
between the DomU''s with connected with help of the (bridged-mode).
I got it work, with setting everything up manually. But as I

Hi,
I''m using the XEN 3.4.1-pre4 Hypervisor in Routet Mode and I''m facing
some problems when I start the DomU.
In detail, it means that the DomU IP-Adress will not be implemented in
the Kernel routing table after starting the domU via "xm create /<path

After making a "netstat -nr" it will not show the IPadress bound to

integrating vbulletin
Has anyone successfully integrated (embedded) vbulletin into a rails
app? I would be curious to see if/how this worked.
RForum still seems quite beta so I am looking for something a little
more tried and true.
thanks

Vorbis for PlayStation
you can write your own software mixer that can decode MP3 on the PS2 so I
can't see why you can't do that with ogg, however, even mp3 is processor
intensive and programers are not going to give up that much processor power
which will decrease or detract from the rest of the game. However, I'm sure
there are some people out there that have been able to work around this.
Regardless, ps1

to temporarily import the ''rpool'' of another host, edit some files in

this be done ?
Here is what I am trying to do:
