Same here, I had also wrote to the mailing list, 2 Customers has the same issue after upgrading to 4.12 Windows Clients get the error ?another prosscess is in use? or ?wrong handle? when a user try to open a network share. After restart samba it?s working for a little moment but mostly not. We?re using Debian 10 Buster and Samba Version is: Version 4.12.1-SerNet-Debian-5.buster Von: samba

Don?t think we?re the only one with this problem, We use it how I said for 3 Companies and we have this issue at all our customers after upgrade to 4.12, before we never had this problem. Downgrade will solve this problem but stay always on an old version brings in future new problems. We have a sernet subscription but no support package, that?s the reason why I write here. The question is here

Share inaccessible intermittently and often - restarting smb cures for short time
Additional Information: This is happening on both a Windows 7 client and a Windows 10 client both of which are joined to the domain. Seems to be some sort of file locking issue but it is happening at the share level - before I even attempt to access or write a file. On a different server running Samba 4.9.2 and a relatively similar setup (same build commands but running on CentOS 7) I do not

Interesting that you're using the sernet packages.. Mine was built from source. I guess we're the only two people on the planet having this issue :). I am going to attempt to downgrade just my file server to a few versions back and see if it starts working. The thing about us being the only ones was kind of tongue and cheek hence the smiley :) .. and was only because of no response. I will be happy to help where I can providing logs and testing etc.. but I'm no programmer and as such I'm not the person to try and troubleshoot. I would consider myself a user of the product. As far as running on a previous version I'm not too

Share inaccessible intermittently and often - restarting smb cures for short time
I just installed version 4.11.7 and the problem has gone away so either it's a bug or a new "feature" that we have to set some config setting to fix. I am still having the annoying issue with deleting thumbs.db files which I currently have on the other install as well. I'm not sure why there is a locking issue with these files but every time I try to delete a folder I get an

NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS with domain joined member samba server
Hello, We had a strange thing happen today - we shut down our system (virtual machines) so that some work could be done in the server closet and everything was shut down gracefully but when everything was started back up I can no longer access my file server from windows. I get the following message in windows: \\fs1 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network

Can't connect after AuthN: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
Been using Samba since the early days and it's always worked terrifically. Install it from RPM or apt or yum, make a few tweaks to the smb.conf and I'm off and running without fail. So to run into a situation where I'm getting denied has really stumped me. I dialed up logging to try and get a peek into what's failing and things start falling apart around NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

delayed write files errors
Hello, First of all : Happy New Year to you all :-) I need your help for a problem. I've 2 servers on CentOS 7: a Samba DC+AD and a Samba Files Sharing. In the Samba file sharing server, all data is store in a RAID Disk partition wich is mounted in /data/ (fstab : UUID=a47ea879-7072-4e8f-a668-3f5a86e58ef2 /data ext4 defaults,user_xattr,acl,barrier=1?? ?1 2). No write access on new shares until smbd is restarted

It is strange, that another cluster in another office configured that way is working perfect ;( The load is not as high
