I cannot use dynamic dns , the remote sites connect through 4G LTE and get assigned "Private Addresses" that are NATd to a Public Address. The LTE clients can only make connections outward to the Internet and features such as PAT and Dynamic DNS will not work. Therfor for these remote sites I need a Central Server Located on Internet to peer with in order for the Site to Site connection

Hi I hope this was not asked before. What methods can be used to secure the "tinc" config files? If for example using a VPS provider like digital ocean , how can one be sure that the local admins dont access your container and read the contents of the tinc config files? Originally I'd had the idea of trying to setup a cassandra ring on the Amazon AWS free tier. However it seems that neither will run on a t2.micro instance. Took me a while but I have finally embraced cloud computing and all the benefits. The only thing I have yet to feel comfortable about putting in the cloud is real live Asterisk boxes to be used in production. I know it's being done because as far as I know Twilio is using Amazon for their Asterisk boxes. I have read all the fun articles on building hobby type systems and that's all great.

Computers typically do not have access to many folders on a file server, even as "Everyone". That is why the NETLOGON folder works. If you're deploying as a USER configuration, then it should run as the context of the user, meaning the Everyone permission

Thanks Guus So based of this , having your central tinc server in VPS Provider , will allow potentially the provider to replicate your config files and thus exposing all your remote sites connected. My situation I face is all my remote sites have dynamic addresses ,and in order for me to create a connection point between the sites is to have a central server in cloud with public address.
