cannot destroy connection (?) created by readLines in a tryCatch

Yeah, that's often a possible workaround, but since this connection was opened by readLines() internally, I don't necessarily know which one it is. E.g. I might open multiple

re-throwing an interrupt condition
I don't want to return a value, I want to interrupt the computation, that's why I need to re-throw . But before getting back to the user I want to run some cleanup code. G. cannot destroy connection (?) created by readLines in a tryCatch
Thanks for tracking this down. Yeah, I should use suppressWarnings(), you are right. Although, readLines() might throw another warning, e.g. for incomplete last lines, and you don't necessarily want to suppress that. TBH I am not sure why that warning is given: ? con <- file(tempfile()) ? open(con) Error in open.connection(con) : cannot open the connection In addition: Warning message: In

Comparing survival curves with "survdiff" "strata" help
ExpeRts, I'm trying to compare three survival curves using the function "survdiff" in the survival package. cannot destroy connection (?) created by readLines in a tryCatch
Consider this code. This is R 3.4.2, but based on a quick look at the NEWS, this has not been fixed. tryCatch( readLines(tempfile(), warn = FALSE)[1], error = function(e) NA, warning = function(w) NA ) rm(list=ls(all.names = TRUE)) gc() showConnections(all = TRUE) If you run it, you'll get a connection you cannot close(), i.e. the last showConnections() call prints: ?

re-throwing an interrupt condition
Anyone knows a way to re-throw a caught interrupt condition, so that it behaves just like the original one? I.e. no error message is printed, but the execution is stopped of course. With just calling stop in the error handler, it prints the error message, or, if there is no error message (like in the original interrupt condition), another error happens. tryCatch(Sys.sleep(100), interrupt =

Hi Folks, I'm trying to use my mobile as a trunk via bluetooth - calls done in a softphone go thru GSM network and calls destinated to my mobile are answered at the softphone. I have asterisk configured to do so but I'm facing an issue - Audio is audible but it?s not intelligible. I feel like the audio is breaking. Below is the asterisk log. How to generate more triangles in sequences?
Hi everyone, I want to plot some pattern. For example, I have some coding as below, plot(0:11,type="n") polygon(c(6,8,10), c(7,3,5),bor=6) polygon(c(2,4,6), c(5,3,7),bor=6) polygon(c(6,10,8), c(7,9,11),bor=6) polygon(c(2,6,4), c(9,7,11),bor=6) This coding will give me four triangles, but how to generate more triangles in sequences so that not need to mention the coordinate for each

Please Help!!! smbcontrol close-share
Hi Marc, Thank you for your email. I think something is wrong with the command or syntax. For example, I open the share folder in a Win workstation(\\server\My_Share) and then run the program to close that share in the server console. The workstation continues to have normal access to that share. Nothing change. I think If the command were running correctly the workstation would not be
