cucumber features HTML output bug with more than 100 steps
I''m having the following problem:
With the format as html, the output of cucumber stops coloring successful
steps green after step #100. This last line in the HTML is:
<script type="text/javascript">stepPassed(100)</script>
Steps 101 -n are colored grey. The <body> tag is not closed but all steps
are displayed. When running with ''format

Mongrel and http 1.1 OPTIONS keyword
Hello.
I just seen some errors in my mongrel application log:
It seems related to the httpd OPTIONS keyword
Example:
Processing LoginController#login (for .30.5.208 at 2007-12-10 09:00:23)
[OPTIONS]
and our ruby application does not know what to do with it. and finally
send an error
Does mongrel (which is the http server) is supposed to deal with these
kind of request ?
I think these

deployment survey
Hello Mongrels,
Building on the last messages about Fastthread, can we get a detailed
survey of the different ways people are deploying their applications?
It will help with near-future Mongrel development.
Please include the following things:
* Framework, if any (Camping, Merb, Rails, Nitro, Ramaze, IOWA, Rack...)
* Mongrel version
* Mongrel handlers used (rails, dirhandler, camping,

Mongrel as Win32 service for a camping app?
As subject line, basically...
http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/docs/win32.html describes how to install
Service
support for Mongrel on Win32. But it seems to be focussed on providing a way
of running Rails apps.
If it is possible at all, can you provide hints or refer to documentation
that
explains how to run apps that use other frameworks, like Camping, as
Services
please? Is it written up online,

multi threaded theoretically useful?
So here''s a random question: if a (Ruby) multi-threaded rails server could
exist (bug free), would it be faster than using a mongrel cluster?
(I.e. 10 mongrel processes versus 10 Ruby threads). I''m not sure if
it would. RAM it
might save, though. Any thoughts?

OptimizedMutex for Mongrel
Hey Zed-
I had a user with an app that was leaking memory with mongrel but
not lighty/fcgi. I have been doing anything I can to track it down. I
already did the Mutex patch to use unshitf and pop instead of shift
and push and it didn''t really help much. The mem leak only really
shows up when you use the wsess option to httperf.
The other day I saw a ruby C extension that

Mongrel spewing backtraces and nanosleeping
Hi list,
I''m seeing a couple of issues with Mongrel. I''m running FreeBSD 6.1 and
have previously been told that there are known conflicts between this
and Mongrel, yet I hope these issues will be resolved with time.
I''m overloading Mongrel with httperf on my local workstation. Mongrel is
started directly with the mongrel_rails command and there is only one

Recommended testing approaches for new Mongrel handlers?
Okay, I got off my duff this week and have been finishing Mongrel
support for IOWA. I now have two handlers that I need to test. One
is similar to the Rails handler, passing request handling to IOWA
threads in the same process, and the other allows one or more Mongrel
processes to pass requests to one or more separate IOWA processes,
with session affinity.
Is there any set of standard sorts of

serving static files
It seems that Merb is sending static files with Mongrel::DirHandler.
(mongrel_handler.rb:52)
if get_or_head and @files.can_serve(path_info)
# File exists as-is so serve it up
MERB_LOGGER.info("Serving static file: #{path_info}")
@files.process(request,response)
I haven''t done benchmarks and I''ve hardly glanced at DirHandler''s code

Mongrel and memory usage
Hello,
I''m running a Rails application which must sort and manipulate a lot of data
which are loaded in memory.
The Rails app runs on 2 mongrel processes.
When I first load the app, both are 32Mb in memory.
After some days, both are between 200Mb and 300Mb.
My question is : is there some kind of garbage collector in Mongrel?
I never see the two Mongrel processes memory footprint

Mongrel 1.1
Hello Mongrels,
Mongrel 1.1 is out with fullblown JRuby support, some reorganization,
and some bugfixes. Also, Mongrel_cluster has been updated to 1.0.4.
Go subscribe to the all-new news feed, because we probably won''t
announce to the list anymore:

swifty fly?
I heard about a new mongrel plugin or version that''s single threaded and
uses non-blocking IO with events. It''s called something like "swifty
fly". Anyone have a link for it?
Thanks.

mongrel - monit issue
Hi,
was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and knows why or a solution.
basically my mongrels seems to work fine. i am running three clusters all which are monitored by monit. monit has the ability to restart a mongrel if it doesn''t pass a port connection test. so the problem is that after some time. aprox. 6hrs. to 20hrs. after clusters are started, the mongrels get

Mongrel breaking Merb?
Has anyone had troubles from Mongrel > 1.0.1? Just curious, because
the last time I tried to run Merb it gave me some Mongrel error about
the wrong number of arguments, or something like that.
I can post the exact message tonight when I get home.

Mass virtual hosting with mongrel
Ok, a refinement of the question I asked yesterday (If there were any
replies from yesterday I don''t have access to them here .. sorry if
I''m duplicating anybody''s words here).
How can one host multiple domains with mongrel? Assuming you are mass
vhosting and you also want the performance benefits of using mongrel ...
As far as I can tell, one could set up a

Thank you,
