Yes, the database internal structures are all endian-independent
and I believe all persistent database useage within Samba itself
is also endian-indepentent. Not the transient databases of course
but they get

[PATCH] ppc64: ELFv2: Load TOC value in system call stub
This fixes a segmentation fault in the system call's error handling path with
dynamically-linked binaries on PowerPC64 little endian. The system call stub
wasn't loading up r2 with the appropriate TOC value in its global entry point.
The r2 setup code comes from the FUNC_START macro in gcc [1] and an equivalent
one can also be found in the LOCALENTRY macro in glibc [2].
On the ELFv2 ABI

I noticed that you didn't give us much to work with ;-)
Can you post the smb.conf files from the working ldap machine and the
non-working 'tdb' machine.

[PATCH] builder: add build script for ppc64 fedora
Build script is based on fedora-aarch64.sh. This managed to build and compress
an image, but it seems the process itself is not completely unattended.

Windows ACL behaviour in standalone fileservers (LDAP vs TDB)
Hi,
I'm building and managing standalone fileservers (security = user) with
various passdb backends. I'm noticing different behaviour of Windows
ACLs for servers with LDAP and TDB passdb backends.
In a LDAP backed server (which I started with) I can freely add
filesystem permissions (eg for groups) to objects (files/folders) via
the Windows (7) permissions editor.
In a TDB backed

Inconsistent behavior between x86_64 and ppc64 when creating guests with NUMA node placement
Hello all,
I was recently trying out NUMA placement for my guests on both x86_64
and ppc64 machines. When booting a guest on the x86_64 machine, the
following specs were valid (obviously, just notable excepts from the xml):
<memory unit='KiB'>8388608</memory>
<currentMemory unit='KiB'>8388608</currentMemory>

[LLVMdev] Why buildbot sanitizer-ppc64-linux1 blames r239459?
I'm trying to understand why the buildbot sanitizer-ppc64-linux1 fails due

[PATCH v4 0/2] inspector: recognize ppc64 and ppc64le archs (RHBZ#1211996)
Patch extracts MSB/LSB info from /bin/file output and passes it as separate
parameret from elf_arch. Then it is sent to impl_file_architecture and checked/
Modified magic_for_file to handle regex changes.
Now with tests for file_architecture.

[LLVMdev] PPC64 buildbot
Hi,
I just realised that the PPC64 bulddbot is failing because of a rather
stupid issue:

Just removing the additional assembly file would make it green again. ;)

group membership inconsistency on AD domain member
Hi,
I've been running a samba server with winbind (CentOS 7) as a member of
an AD Domain (Windows 2012 R2) for several months without a problem.
"Suddenly" I'm seeing the problem that the membership in newly created
AD groups isn't correctly visible for some users on the samba server or
only after some indefinite amount of time. I'm looking simply at the
output of

[LLVMdev] buildbot failure in LLVM on llvm-ppc64-linux1
Hi All,
I'm trying to reproduce a failure on llvm-ppc64-linux1 (http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/llvm-ppc64-linux1/builds/5382) and llvm-ppc64-linux2 builders caused by one of my patches yesterday. Some of the CodeGen/Hexagon tests failed to compile with stack dump problem.
I tried to configure and build LLVM for PowerPC on my machine locally but don't see the failures. I had to remove
