APC Back-UPS BX1400U
Dear list, since some days I own an APC Back-UPS BX1400U. Now I try to connect my Raspberry Pi to it using NUT, but ... ;) The UPS is connected via an USB-cable, and "lsusb" shows an APC device. NUT is installed via "sudo apt-get install nut". My goal: a Synology DiskStation DS1515+ should "read" UPS-data provided from the Raspberry an shut-down itselt at 30%

RV: About your driver NUTDRV_ATCL_USB(8) for install
I think I may be of some help in this matter. Since I am running a bunch of Raspberry Pi's with NUT and it took a lot of hacking to make it possible. You could probably copy and paste this right into a shell script and just run it ... # Do an rpi-update FIRST to prevent USB strangeness #some depencies from repo sudo apt-get -y install m4 libtool libudev-dev automake #fixing autoconf for

Multi UPS Monitoring
Hey all, I've read through as many relevant mailing list posts and public blog posts as I could, but I can't seem to find an answer to my issue. I currently have 2x Tripp Lite SMART1500LCDXLs, and I am attempting to monitor both of them with the same Raspberry Pi using NUT. The problem I have is there doesn't seem to be any way in the nut.conf to differentiate between the two UPS via

Setup that I was on mind is a little different, but I think your setup works well. In my setup the HUB is connected directly to the UPS, then the cables go to raspberry and device. In your setup the HUB is connected directly to the raspberry, then the cables go to UPS and Device. It?s Ok? In both configurations I need the same things: Male B->female A adaptor, HUB and 2 male A->

I haven't tried it on RaspberryPi, but if there's some specific Tripp Lite information I can help with, let me know. Tinc and firewall
Hello, Early this year I got help here to setup tinc tunnels between users and a company LAN. Now I would like to try something different for a home usage and I have a question regarding security. The setup would look like as follows: - My home LAN has a classical topology where my ISP router is doing NAT and is blocking all incoming connection. I'm planning to enable port forwarding on the

Can't get latest version for Raspberry Pi
Hi all, Someone should be able to help me - I think this is an easy one. I have a Raspberry Pi successfully running nut-server talking via USB to a Liebert UPS. It is running Version 2.6.4 which was installed ages ago following instructions freely available on the internet by A. Bakalidis I now see that the directory containing 2.6.4 in the repository at

Dear Charles, Thanks for your quick reply, but I can't install nut_2.7.2 in my raspberry. 1) I create a [nut] directory and use wget to download three files: [nut_2.7.2-1.dsc] [nut_2.7.2.orig.tar.gz] [nut_2.7.2-1.debian.tar.xz] 2)I unpack: dpkg-source -x nut_2.7.2-1.dsc 3) I use command root at pi1:/nut/nut-2.7.2# debuild -us -uc . .. Assistance with understanding how to setup NUT for our small server room
Hello, We have a small server room for our various Proxmox Host Servers, UTM system and managed switches. I've recently discovered NUT and would like to use it to monitor our UPS boxes using Raspberry Pi's. I have a few questions regarding the setup and I'm hoping this community can point me in the right direction. I'll be installing the latest version of NUT on each Raspberry

NUT on Raspberry PI 3b+
I was able to make NUT and my Powercom SPIDER UPS (USB port) work under the Raspberry Pi Desktop (Debian). Everything works in VMware Workstation 15 Player. But my Raspberry Pi 3b + (with raspbian last version) doesn’t work with the same UPS, and with same NUT configuration. Raspberry sees the UPS, but the driver does not cling. Here is the response of Raspberry 3b + to some commands. pi at

unable to connect to APC UPS Connection Refused
I've not been able to connect to my ups using NUT 2.7.4 or NUT 2.8.0. 2.7.4 was installed as a package, 2.8.O was compiled from source. I've messed with permissons, everything is root:root and has the approprate read/execute permissons. I've tried two differnt UPS(es) APC & CyperPower. I'm running PI OS (Raspbian) on a Raspberry Pi3 model B. The port 3493 is open (UFW). I can

[patch 1/2] use chacha20 from openssl (1.1.0+) when possible
On some cpu's optimized chacha implementation in openssl (1.1.0+) is notably faster (and on others it is just faster) than generic C implementation in openssh. Sadly, openssl's chacha20-poly1305 (EVP_chacha20_poly1305) uses different scheme (with padding/etc - see rfc8439) and it looks it is not possible to use in openssh. OpenSSL 1.1.1+ also exports "raw" poly1305 primitive,
