Slow Samba writes over NFS
Hello... Currently in the process of upgrading Samba v2.0.10 to Samba v3.0.x, while conducting some minimal testing, it turns-out that Samba v3.0.x is performing slower than Samba v2.0.10. Set-ups: A. Samba v3.0.x --> Same PC client is accessing the samba share running on Red Hat 4.5 (64bit, HP DL380) which in turn has an NFS mount coming from another SAN attached Red Hat 4.5 (64bit, HP

EDD error RE: Re: SYSLINUX 2.12-pre7 released
>information a bit closer; it'd find that it's marked accordingly. UDMA2.SYS author now worked around it, it seems you do something with "DPTE" in isolinux.asm but not using it (probably for memdisk or direct floppy/harddisk emulation?). also something about EDD v1.1 and v3.0 specifications and setting bits to 1. Anyway, the driver works now on: BIOS -> cdrom ->

xen will only load images built for xen v3.0
Hi, I am attempting to get Xen working on my Mandriva Linux and I can only get as far as the initial loading screen which happens to be failing with: "xen will only load images built for xen v3.0" I am following the instructions outlined at http://qa.mandriva.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/HowToXen Any hints on where I should start debugging this problem? cheers, Jeffery

[LLVMdev] Follow-up questions after successful upgrade to LLVM 3.0rc4

However, the instructions in the Testing Infrastructure Guide for running the Test Suite presume the existence and use of llvm-gcc, http://llvm.org/docs/TestingGuide.html, both on-line and in the rc4 kits. Now that llvm-gcc is gone for V3.0, it isn't completely obvious how to run the test-suite

Upgrading from V3.0 production system to V3.3
Before I undertake this upgrade I thought I would see if anyone has any advice on how to do this on a production system. Maybe someone has already "fought this dragon". Current config Gluster V3.0.0. This has been in production for over 16 months: 2 servers with 8 x 2TB hard drives (bricks) replicated svr1:vol1 <-> srv2:vol1 -> rbrick1 svr1:vol2 <-> srv2:vol2 ->

[LLVMdev] Using C++'11 language features in LLVM itself
Hello all, Using the Apache Wiki [1] I summed up what can be used simultaneously by gcc, MSVC and clang. I mostly considered only the latest versions of the proposals where there were several, where not there is a link to a note at the bottom. Furthermore I did not scourge through 3 bug databases and I implicitly trusted the wiki page. I drew up a list of profiles, listing the base

[LLVMdev] Follow-up questions after successful upgrade to LLVM 3.0rc4
We were successful in upgrading our JIT project to LLVM 3.0rc4 last week, after initially struggling with the various usage and IR changes from V2.9. But we have some follow-up questions: 1) In spite of building and running our tests cleanly with DEBUG+ASSERTS and RELEASE builds, we consistently see a crash when we use a DEBUG build without ASSERTs. The crash appears whenever we use the

Linux Dom0 <-> Solaris prepared Volume
Hi all heve been trying (in vain) to get a Solaris b44 DomU (dowloaded from Sun) running on a Linux Xenhost I followed exactly how, and it looked ok when it starts booting... But it never boots . adapted the configfile to boot with -v (that I can see at least something) and this is what I get ===SNIP=== root@Xen-VT02:/export/xc/xvm/solaris-b44# xm create solaris-b44-64.py -c Using config

Testers needed for VoIP router solution
Hi all, We have put together a firmware for a range of inexpensive routers. It has been configured to provide optimum VoIP performance. We have internally tested it for number of months and it looks very good. You should be able to run it easily with 20+ phones on local network ( we still did not hit the upper limit ) assuming that you have bandwidth. Your VoIP will get prioritized over other

[LLVMdev] Some questions for an LLD Buildbot Slave
Okay, I'll go with a stable Clang like v3.3. Have to build it myself, though, as Debian comes with v3.0. No, I didn't try using libstdc++. I'll give it a shot. The machine is going to be turned on 24/7 until it dies from old age, so I don't know if it is worth scheduling in a special manner. The worst part is linking as I cannot use Gold because I get an error about an
