Samab 4.11.2, 4.10.10 and 4.9.15 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Hi everyone,
I've posted some rpm builds of samba 4.11.2, 4.10.10 and 4.9.15 for
RHEL/Centos 7.x (currently 7.7). The 4.11 rpms use the python3 and
python3-devel rpms introduced in the standard RHEL/Centos repos at the
same time as the 7.7 version.
Comments and/or testing feedback would be most welcomed.

Questions about clamd, amavisd and squidclamav
Hi list,
I have a small server with a Postfix, amavisd and ClamAV installed and
works fine. I install a squid proxy with squidclamav. Clamav works with
/etc/clamd.d/amavisd.conf, but squidclamav cannot connect through the
Unix socket in /var/spool/amavisd/clamd.sock.
How can I configure clamav to create another Socket in
/var/spool/squid/clamd.sock for example ? The service is clamd.amavisd,

Problem with Ubuntu bionic R 3.5
I have this too on Ubuntu Bionic. The English error message is:
W: Conflicting distribution: https://cran.rstudio.com/bin/linux/ubuntu
bionic-cran35/ InRelease (expected bionic-cran35/ but got bionic)
Though the error doesn't seem to prevent use of the repository. I could
apt-get install R 3.5 no problem.

Problem with Ubuntu bionic R 3.5
I ran into a problem installing R 3.5 on Ubuntu Bionic Beaver. In file
/etc/apt/sources.list I added the repository entry "deb

"apt-get update" now produces an error message:

Ubuntu issue with 18.04 Bionic Beaver
Dear Dirk (other users and Dave)
PART 1
I finally was able to install R.3.5.1, however, I had to invoke the following
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys E084DAB9
As this skin of Ubuntu 18.04 (Peppermint) does not seem to allow access to the bionic-cran35 repository unless this key is set and added to the system.
This is odd - well for me anyway, as for other skins of

Ubuntu Bionic samba 4.9.11 and 4.10.6 are now available. (amd64/i386)
Hi Louis,
Thanks a lot for providing that service. I do have unattended-upgrades active, but it didn?t pull your new version. I guess it is because your repository is not listed as a repo to be considered for automated upgrades, but I am struggling with what exactly into the list Unattended-Upgrade::Allowed-Origins. I tried "deb:bionic-samba410"; but that didn?t do the trick...
Thanks,

Problem with Ubuntu bionic R 3.5
Hi Dirk.
I saw you installed a new release. Unfortunately the problem mentioned
below does persist.
I know this is perhaps a minor issue, as users report they can install
manually (see below). But under strict installation policies this can
create an issue. Synaptic is refusing to install. The German error
message is

Ubuntu Bionic Samba 4.9.13 and 4.10.8 packages online now (amd64/i386)
Hai,
Well, not exactly, if you coming from source builds.
In that case is suggest.
Pick a repo line matching your self compiled samba.
If thats a 4.9, choose the 4.9 repo line to add to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/van-belle.list file.
Stop the self compiled samba version.
Disable starting the selfcompiled samba.
Reboot you server to make sure nothing has openfiles, or check this manualy.
