List Index Out of Range
Hai,
That looks like its a bug.
I just verified this on a 4.10.10 AD-DC.
I was hoping a python package was missing but i dont see/have missing packages here.
I have exact the same result.
I have reported it : https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14184

changes on DC not replicated, while showrepl reports no issues
Hi,
Again more data: The command
samba-tool visualize reps
seems to agree with the observed lack of replication from DC4 to DC3 & DC2:

changes on DC not replicated, while showrepl reports no issues
Hi all,
We are running a three DC samba AD, using 4.12.8 sernet packages. Very
stable for years.
Today at 12:30 my colleague moved two users from
* CN=Users,DC=samba,DC=company,DC=com
to
* OU=disabled,DC=samba,DC=company,DC=com
This change was done on the DC4 at 12:30 using LAM (ldap-account-manager
version 7.3)
Ever since that, my automated samba-tool ldapcmp scripts started

It appears it is just cosmetic, see my other post.
I have asked the person who added it, why he added it, I don't expect a
quick reply, he is on the other side of the planet ?

Using ldbsearch on configuration partition.
Hello,
I'm trying to search for the following but believe my syntax may
not be correct.
Search the Configuration partition for any object where the Common Name
contains "CNF:" and the object class is nTDSDSA.
I'm using: ldbsearch -H /usr/local/samba/private/sam.ldb
'(&(ObjectClass=nTDSDSA)(CN=CNF*))'
Is this correct? I also tried
ldbsearch -H

Possible problems with AD Schema in Samba 4
Hi,
I found that the base of Samba 4 DC is different from the base of Windows
Server 2008 DC. There are many mistakes when I make the comparison as the
result as follows (only parts of reult):
samba-tool ldapcmp ldap://WINDC1 ldap://SAMBA4-DC -Uadministrator
Password for [EMPRESA\administrator]:
* Comparing [DOMAIN] context...
* DN lists have different size: 1787 != 1788

How to do a pretty panel plot?
The pretty picture that I saw at:
http://chartsgraphs.wordpress.com/2009/02/09/r-panel-chart-beats-excel-chart/#more-1096
inspired me to try something similar. The code that I wrote is:

M <- structure(list(date = structure(c(13634, 13665, 13695, 13726,
13757, 13787, 13818, 13848, 13879, 13910, 13939, 13970,

Replication on 4.19.5 working properly ?
Hi,
Just finishing update to 4.19.5 from 4.19.4
I just found??'samba-tool visualize uptodateness -rS ?utf8???and 'samba-tool drs showrepl'
Now takes 2-3 minutes to complete, where as before it was pretty much instant. The output looks fine however, replication seems to be working and I get no errors.
Also, I note that 'samba-tool visualize uptodateness -rS ?utf8? has zero on

Best way to add samba4 to existing domain
I have Samba4 running, and it had a win2k3 server joined to it. This is
working great.
I'd like to add another Ubuntu 12.04 server with samba4 beta5. What's the
best join method?
Do I provision the server as a member, then join using samba-tools domain
join <domain>
When I do it looks like it doesn't replicate the directory, just forwards?
Should I provision as a DC with

changes on DC not replicated, while showrepl reports no issues
Hi,
Checking a bit more today, as the two changes on DC4 have *still* not
propagated to DC2/DC3, I discovered the
samba-tool drs uptodateness
command.
I gives the following output, not sure what "unknown invocation ID"
means. I hope someone here is able to explain..?
It's output:

Problem with a domain controller that is located in a separate site
I was running samba 4.21 as a domain controller and now I see this situation
, I have empty outbound neighbors, but if you look from the windows side,
then this is the difference between windows controllers and samba, for some
reason the repsTo attribute is not filled, for example, the configuration
context, although windows controllers have both attributes fully filled,
although they are the same
