smbclient -L returns NT_STATUS_REVISION_MISMATCH

mount share using kerberos ticket fails
Hi list, I joined a workstation (Debian 10, Samba from distribution) to our AD domain (Windows 2012 Server). The domain ends by ".local" (yes I know, not my fault). However, after a domain user logged to the machine, I can't mount a share that exists on the AD server using user's kerberos ticket: it fails with error "Required key not available". Mounting using

Samba shares not appearing
Hi, I'm currently fiddling with Samba, trying to make it work on CentOS 7. Before that, I ran Samba successfully in a mixed environment with Slackware64 14.1 on the server and Slackware/Windows Seven on the client side. I have three sandbox machines running CentOS 7. One has a minimal install with only the samba and samba-client packages. Just to be on the safe side for fiddling,

Restoring single DC virtual machine
Hi, I plan to install one Samba4 DC on a virtual machine to provide services for less than 50 users: - centralized authentication on 2 or 3 Linux servers - LDAP authentication on an ownCloud server - I do not think that I will join Windows computers to the domain, but maybe one day. I know it is better to install more than one DC to have replication, but in a so small setup, would it be

smbclient -L returns NT_STATUS_REVISION_MISMATCH
Hi all, Sorry for this question which has certainely already been answered, but I could not find info in the list nor in the wiki. From my Debian laptop running testing (samba 4.9.5) and with an empty smb.conf (I wanted to be sure that only default values are used), I can not browse shares of a Windows 10 machine (sorry, Thunderbird splits some lines): smbclient -L 192.168.122.200 Unable to
