Group policy broken
Hai Ivan,
Base on the example link.
The users/computer impersonat "SYSTEM" to apply the GPO these days.
So i think your missing SYSTEM somewhere.
I have myself on such GPO objects only "apply GPO" set on a security group.
But in the resulting GPO, SYSTEM is shown also.
And you could run : samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset
See if that helps also.

Hai Stefan,
What is the samba version your running now?
Im now at 4.10.3 with my DC's and the command :
samba-tool gpo list username
Then it does show the GPO's for the user.
If you on 4.10, check if these are installed :

Evaluation of the Samba-tools rename functionality
HI,
Just an update on this samba-tool (V4.17.4) ..rename functionality, against a 2008SP2 level AD.
(also in case anyone else is mad enough to want to attempt this.)
The rename tool, seems to do a fairly good job,
However there are a couple of other fields that could do with being flushed/fixed during the rename.
This one which breaks MS tools(with continuous looping & modal

gList and gTree methods of grid::grobX
Dear all,
In an attempt to draw fill patterns in grid graphics, I have
encountered a behavior of grobX that I cannot understand from the
documentation. Consider this,
library(grid)
## gTree
g1 <- gTree(children=gList(
rectGrob(0.5,0.5, width=unit(0.8,"npc"),
height=unit(2,"cm")),
circleGrob(r=0.3)), vp=viewport(0.5,0.5))

OU vs. Default CN?
I am having a hard time getting any information from this list about the
default OU's used when running the net ads join command.
After mapping to the wrong OU in Active Directory for a Samba Domain
Member Server (ou=wrong_container,dc=server,dc=com) I cannot change this
back to the default (cn=users,dc=server,dc=com). Any help is
appreciated and here is the result of net ads dn command:

Automatically add group
Dear All.
I have a file server. I installed the samba on it to store the document.
See below for the security :
- group :
+ g1 : user1, user2,user3
+ g2 : user4, user5,user6
+ g3 : user1,user5
- folder :
+ folder A : set permission chmod 775 and group chown root:g3
The problem is when the user1 modified a file in folder A then that file
add the group g1 automatically. So

gradient fill of a grid.polygon
Dear list,
Following a recent enquiry, I've been playing with the idea of creating a
colour gradient for a polygon, using the Grid package. The idea is to draw a
number of stripes of different colours, using the grid.clip function. Below
is my current attempt at this,
library(grid)
rotate.polygon <- function(g, angle=0){ # utility function, works fine
