Samba + pdb_mysql - password hashes disappearing?
This is using samba-3.0.2a, as downloaded from us2.samba.org today (19th of April), on Debian Linux. I have setup and gotten mostly-working the MySQL PDB for Samba. It queries the database correctly, pulls in the data, etc. However, when I connect as a user, I get: [2004/04/19 15:56:23, 3] libsmb/ntlm_check.c:ntlm_password_check(182) ntlm_password_check: NO NT password stored for user

pam_smbpass
Okay - I've got samba working as a PDC with and ldap backend. I want to have some users not be in ldap (like the built in stuff like cyrus, mail, lp etc) I can get that to work with the pam_ldap and pam_unix but pam_smbpass doesn't seem to return user_unknown as i expect for users who are not in the ldap database does this make sense? --- pam_smb_passwd.c 12 Feb 2002 15:56:19

Win311 Q: login & Windows EXIT
Hi Maybe this is a common stupid problem, but when I try to login to Samba server from Win311 (right after its start) Windows exits very quickly to DOS prompt without error messages. If I enter Windows without loginning to Samba server, and try to login then it hangs (mouse is still active) showing me its watch. I have a couple of Win311 hosts and this happends with all of them. What could it

printing
Hello As my subject already says, I want to print under wine. Added printer=on to the conf-file, but it doesn't help. I'am running an win311 routeplanner (my newerone doesn't work) but when I try to print there is no printer availeble. I tryed to find some good howto's about printing but didn't find any. Why can't I sucseed and does corel-photopaint a perfect print-job? --

[RFC] Implementing asm-goto support in Clang/LLVM
I've been out of the loop for awhile. Is there an email thread about the "removing terminators as a thing" concept? Cannot log in to domain
Hi folks, Just yesterday, my Samba installation on OpenSlug suddenly stopped working, out of the blue. Now, users on my WinXP SP2 systems cannot under any circumstances log in to the domain. Local Windows users however can map shares with no problem. When a domain user attempts to log on to a domain member PC (joining the domain works fine, by the way), they are denied with the generic Windows

[RFC] Implementing asm-goto support in Clang/LLVM
(and FWIW, I'm currently trying to finish the patch that makes this a reality... mostly hard because it has to unwind a loooot of complexity we've built up due to not having this) On Sat, Nov 3, 2018 at 5:47 PM Jeremy Lakeman via llvm-dev < llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org> wrote: > http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2018-May/123407.html > > TLDR; CallInst & InvokeInst

Wrong behaviour in pdb_get_set.c: pdb_get_pass_can_change_time?
Dear List, we have several server installations in local schools serving files with samba. The users are stored within an ldap database. We then tried to set the smabaPwdCanChange time somewhere in the future, but had to see, that samba didn't honored the given value. I then got the source, looked at the logs with an high log level and searched my way though it to two important functions,

Samba 2.0.3 and NT Clients
Hello everbody, I have a small problems with Samba 2.0.3/SuSE 6.1 and my Windows NT Clients: As long as I'm working with Win311/95/98 clients everything is OK, but when I try to connect with a WinNT 4.0 client, I get the following errormessage (translated from german, so the US message may sound a little different): Unable to connect to \\linux_server_01 Unable to log on with this account

Issue with old style dos truncation
Hi there. Recently upgraded from 2.2.9 to 3.05 everything is working great except for one small snag. I noticed it when working on the unattended Win2k installation, when it was copying a more than 8 Character Folder. Normally and certainly on 2.2.9 it would truncate the file name say from DellDrivers to DellDr~1 and would still work. However, it was truncating the file name to D1DRER~B (or

MySQL authentication & kickoff time?
Hiya. I'm in the middle of (re)developing a authentication system for an internet cafe here in Sydney. By complete accident I discovered the PDB MySQL plugin for samba yesterday in CVS - amazing. Haven't tried this yet (waiting for samba to compile on a really slow machine, heh) but it looks great. Is anybody using this? Would you recommend it for use in a heavy use type

Favorite print command for SAMBA on Sol 2.5.1
I am having problems with the HP printers that are being handled by a Solaris 2.5.1 machine. The boring details are towards the end. The SAMBA print command I currently use is: print command = echo %u - %s to %p at %T >> /tmp/smb-print.log ; \ lpr -P %p %s ; \ rm %s ; These are EXACTLY the way they are in the smb.conf file. The server will print 99.9% of

[PATCH] tdb multiple format
Hi, As I said yesterday, I worked on a solution for tdb format in order to manage easily new fields for this format. So I add small changes to init_sam_from_buffer and init_buffer_from_sam in this purpose. The data TDB_FORMAT_STRING became an array which contains the list of the different fields format which exist. When the tdb file is read, for each records, Samba will try the most recent
