Most of this is generated by FreeNAS's gui, so I'll have to figure out how to override it. I know where the file is, but I don't know if changes I make to it will actually stick, but that's for a different forum :) Just curious, since I appear to be running a PDC, is there a way to have a standalone samba server, and just get the user/password information from LDAP without doing

Howdy! I'm setting up a domain controller, and things are going wonderfully, but I'm running into a strange problem, only some groups will display using the `samba-tool group show` command. <snip> root at vorador:~# samba-tool group addmembers videos dkowis Added members to group videos root at vorador:~# samba-tool group list | grep videos videos root at vorador:~# samba-tool

nouveau "eDP-1: EDID is invalid" regression after 4.11 with HP ZBook 15 G3
Hi, The HP ZBook 15 G3 laptop builtin display (eDP-1) does not work correctly with v4.11-11413-g2868b25. When booting the laptop, the resolution seems to be limited to 1024x768, and gnome-session segfaults. Up to 4.11 the display works just fine in 1920x1080 mode. I'm seeing this in the kernel logs: nouveau 0000:01:00.0: eDP-1: EDID is invalid: [00] BAD 00 ff ff ff ff ff ff 00 ff

xm list not showing guest machines as "running"
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 as the screenshot [0] shows, my virtual machines aren''t showing up as running. This causes me a few problems. One being if I do xm shutdown SMGL-1 it simply powers it down, it doesn''t send the "shutdown signal" or whatever makes it go away :) I''ve done a from source install using the instructions mentioned [1].

recover missing messages - files still present in storage
Hi, I have a user account that had almost 20GB of emails and now they're missing. Only a few are available trough IMAP or doveadm. I can see in /path/to/mailbox/storage that thousands of "m." files are still there, summing up 19GB of files. doveconf -n http://termbin.com/7lgc I have tried: accessing via IMAP accessing via doveadm search/fetch/mailbox status doveadm index doveadm

Hi, Bisected this to: commit df8dc97cd17269474344d73cc02739532c468d04 Author: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs at redhat.com> Date: Wed Mar 1 09:42:04 2017 +1000 drm/nouveau/kms/nv50: use drm core i2c-over-aux algorithm I'm not entirely sure NVKM needs to support this now, but I haven't removed it as of yet just in case it's needed from DEVINIT scripts where DRM isn't

OpenSSH 3.3 & privlege seperation?
Wondering --- I know theo sent out a message asking vendors to get off their butts to get privlege seperation working, so what I'm wondering is whether this is happening/working/etc with Solaris? (specifically 8)...I know this is a portability question, since Sun doesn't support SSH on solaris 8. not on the list, so please CC me. thanks. adam

weep, wail -- Unix client, NT server
I tried searching the list archives, but "NT server" gives me 14530 matches, go figure. :-) And I've read through all the docs that ship with Samba, and the FAQ, and the webpages. No joy. We're using Samba 2.0.5a under Solaris 7. Everything works *wonderfully* when mounting a Unix-side filesystem as an NT/98 share. The username maps save our butts, the security is
