Indexer worker small bug
Hello, I think I submitted this before, but I am not sure this has been addressed I am using AppArmor with Dovecot, without any issue. However, I think there is a bug in the indexer working, from what I can see, a missing trailing slash. See: ------------ Dec 09 14:35:53 portal2 kernel: audit: type=1400 audit(1544366153.379:3035): apparmor="DENIED" operation="file_mmap"

bind9 won't run
I am working on my second Ubuntu 16.04.1LTS running Samba 4.5.0 with Bind9_DLZ. I have one machine just like this one. Same hardware, same software setup. First machine is working fine. At the moment this (second) machine is not joined to the other (until I get Bind running.) I have searched log complaints. Compared settings between the two machines and despite bind running on the first one,

Reverse DNS
Hi Rowland, Just as a test, I installed the dhcp server in the DC ( in the lab). Then configured the dhcp as per the wiki This is what I see. And again the forward zone update despite the errors but the reverse doesn't When releasing the lease Jun 27 10:55:07 server5-ad dhcpd[2525]: Release: IP: 192.168.14.198 Jun 27 10:55:07 server5-ad dhcpd[2525]: execute_statement argv[0] =

Error starting domain: internal error: Unable to add port vnet0 to OVS bridge br0
I have installed OVS from sources using the installation steps mentioned on this link: http://docs.openvswitch.org/en/latest/intro/install/general/ I had installed libvrt, KVM, QEMU and all the necessary packages using apt-get. My KVM-QEMU hypervisor has been running well. To add a VM with the port attached to OVS bridge I changed the XML domain file as per the instructions on this page:

Managesieve cannot access script store
Hi, I am trying to get sieve working on a new OpenSuse leap 42.2 install. On my 'old' OpenSuse 13.2 machine it worked fine. The problem is that Managesieve can't access the script store and won't let me create any script. It says permission denied on ~/sieve directory. See log below. I 've activated debug logging, but that doesn't give any clues to me. Also, I've

Debian Buster, bind_dlz, and apparmor
Last week, Debian testing (Buster) added apparmor to the list of dependencies for its latest kernel release, apparently because systemd needs it.  Recently, I noticed my first casualty - bind9 - due to apparmor failures with bind_dlz. Here is the initial journalctl results: Nov 23 10:12:12 debpdc named[16080]: starting BIND 9.10.6-Debian <id:9d1ea0b> -f -u bind Nov 23 10:12:12 debpdc

Centos7 & Selinux & Tor
I've just encountered a problem starting tor. When I do 'systemctl start tor' it fails and I get selinux errors in the log. There was suggestion to do full auditing with 'auditctl -w /etc/shadow -p w'. Which I did and it gave the following type=PROCTITLE msg=audit(1539540150.692:60570): proctitle=2F7573722F62696E2F746F72002D2D72756E61736461656D6F6E0030002D2

Trying to understand SELinux MSG
Hello, I received the below SELinux message today and I am trying to figure out what caused it. I see what it says under Allow Access but I am not sure this is what I really want to do without know why it happened in the first place. What should I be looking at to understand what or why this has happened? Any help I would be most grateful for. Here is the output form SELinux SUMMARY:
