Newbie HLM with lme4 questions
Dear R listers, I know I'm breaking the rules by asking a "homework" related question-- I hope you'll forgive me. I am a social psychology graduate student, and the only one in my department who uses R. I successfully completed my multiple regression and structural equation modeling courses using R (John Fox's car and sem packages were a big help, as was his book).

lme4 / HLM question
I'm hoping that this is a relatively easy question for someone familiar with the lme4 package. I'm accustomed to using HLM software and writing a simple 2 level [null] equation like this: L1 - Yij = b0 + e L2 - b0 = B00 + u0 The following command in R provides results that are identical to the HLM program. results <- lmer( Y ~ 1 |id , PanelData4) I can't

Problem w/ SJava package
Hello, Seems like it is almost working properly. I was able to run examples calling R from Java successfully for the java code below. However, some commands, such as "objects" when not commented out, give me the following error? If you could point me to the correct place to find a solution, I would much appreciate it. I am new to the R community and not sure where is the appropriate

from field encoding
Good day. I have a dovecot 2.3.4.1 on debian 10 as an imap server. I found there are emails where the header field From has no encoding even if there is a name with special characters like ?lut? K??. The header looks like: From: "?lut? K??" <zluty.kun at domain.tld> In this case the email client - roundcube, outlook etc. will show the From with wrong characters. This behaviour is

vfs_fruit and extended attributes
It seems not many folks have much to say about this. Here?s an update for anyone in a similar situation: We narrowed down the issue to being with dispersed volumes. When we created a replicated volume, vfs_fruit worked without issue. Ultimately, what we were seeking was performance. Even for our Windows and Linux users, things could be slow. The good news is that we discovered an SMB config

And if user type Username, username, USERname etc at login dovecot create a different Maildir's for one real user. But LDA works corretly and save all messages to lowercase username mailbox. No problem, add L: mail_location = maildir:/var/mail/%Lu/ Then all works good. But I has

[LLVMdev] should PEI::calculateFrameObjectOffsets align the stack?
In ARM the stack should be 8 bytes aligned during function calls. A function that has at least one function call then has a stack size of 8 bytes. PEI::calculateFrameObjectOffsets corretly computes this correctly. The problem is that the alignment is computed before adding space for the call frame size. This is done in emitProlog. Currently the ARM backend has a bug in that it doesn't align
