NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED on a directory I have permission to access
Hello,
I am testing Samba 4.9.7 before we upgrade our 4.8 domain member server.
I am running into a weird permission error with our test server. My home
directory is NFS mounted. The problem comes from a mail directory in my
home directory. I can't access it over SMB/CIFS, it gives me a
permission error. From another Linux host that has our home directories
NFS mounted, I can access it

NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED on a directory I have permission to access
Hai Paul,
Look at this: user=paulg,uid=2381
(from mount -t cifs //xxxx.xxxx.yorku.ca/homes /tmp/1 -o user=paulg,uid=2381,gid=1000,domain=AD.ONE.EXAMPLE.CA)
Now, look at this :

Copying (Samba -> WinXP SP2) MATLAB generated .jpg files very slow.
Greetings,
This is a interesting problem. One of our researchers uses MATLAB to
generate jpg files as part of his vision research. When he copies these
files from the file server, it is very slow. I tried 3.0.28a and I see the
same problem as we have with 3.0.28.
Here are some interesting stats.
1) MATLAB generated files:
command: robocopy Y:\23_1 C:\23_1 /e

Dovecot and loading OpenSSL libraries
Hi,
I am running into a interesting issue with Dovecot.
I compiled Dovecot 2.0.7 with LD_RUN_PATH set to /xsys/lib and it was
able to find and link against the correct OpenSSL libraries (/xsys/lib),
the generated Makefile look OK.
Here is a snippet of the SSL cflags and libs.
SSL_CFLAGS = -I/xsys/include
SSL_LIBS = -L/xsys/lib -lssl -lcrypto -ldl
After I compil, install and run Dovecot I

Samba + CFS
Hello,
I'm trying to get Samba and CFS (cryptographic file system) to work.
What I want is to mount a crypted directory (on my Debian Sarge server) as
a Samba share to my WinXP box.
I've already set up a crypted directory (/crypt/crypt) as a user. And I've
also set up a Samba share for this 'virtual' directory.
I can access and delete files from that folder over the Samba

CFS BWC related question
Hi,
Seems this question is not related with libvirt directly, but I still want to ping this list to see if someone can be help.
The OS in my desktop box is Ubuntu 12.10, the kernel is 3.5.1. I installed the cgroup utility package with:#apt-get install cgroup-bin, but after I installed these packages successfully, I can't find cpu_quota/cpu_period controller in the /sys/fs/cgroup/cpu folder.

Beginner Help with a fatal error in a first Basic Install
dovecot at dovecot.org
Hello,
I have been doing my first BasicInstall of Dovecot, following the
documentation for VirtualUsers, and piecing together suggestions from other
on the list, and out on the web.
In dovecot.conf, I have added,
default_mail_env =
maildir:/var/Dovecot/%d/Accounts/%1u/%u/Maildir:INDEX=/var/Dovecot/indexes/%d/%n
auth default {
mechanisms = plain
user = pgnmail

SMB Signing issues... smbclient works, mount does not...
Hi All,
I seem to have exactly the same problem which was described in this thread a
while ago. I have gone through every piece of information I was able to find
on mailing list archives but all I found was people reporting similar
problems and not a solution to it.
As in the original discussion if I use smbclient it works fine but if I use
mount.cifs it does not work at all. To make smbclient

Hi All,
We've been beating our heads against a problem here with a new Samba
server that we're trying to bring into production, and I'm hoping that
the members of this list can provide some insight.
Our server is on a Linux CentOS 7.6, Samba version 4.8.3 installed from
distribution packages. Our clients are a mixture of Windows, Mac, and
Linux systems. Most of these clients are

trixbox, sangoma a200, dell poweredge 2550 issue
Hi all,
I have setup a Dell PowerEdge 2550 with a Sangoma A200 card with 2xFSO and
1XFS modules.
The PowerEdge specs are 1 x P3 1133MHz, 512MB RAM.
Sangoma A200 has 3 analogue PSTN lines connected.
This server is based in Office 1, with 5 users all with a Linksys SPA942
VoIP Handset.
There is another Office (Office 2) connected to here using VPN. There are
two users in Office 2 with the
