cutting corners (4.10.2 on el7.6)
Hi Garming, Thanks for taking the time to enlighten me. I do happen to have two DC's and in my limited testing, 4.10.2 seems to function properly as an AD/DC on el7.6 with the packages I built. As I'm not using those DC's for file serving in a clustered setup, it is also my interpretation that I can do without ctdb (this one had a specific requirement for a higher version of a

cutting corners (4.10.2 on el7.6)
Hi, I don't think any of those matter for your use. An older version of GnuTLS means we likely just use internally implemented functions (which we are trying to deprecate though). I don't know exactly what DMAPI is used for, but it's not a default configuration and file server clustering doesn't have any relevance for just an AD DC. Cheers, Garming On 16/04/19 10:57 AM,

Samba 4.8.10 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Adding Alexander (cc'ed, thank you) Hi Sergio, I found some hints (dating back almost a year ago) about why gnutls-3.4 might be needed: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2018-April/127282.html I don't know how much of this still holds true (I've been running an AD DC with rhel7's gnutls 3.3.z for over a year without apparent issues). Hi everyone, I've posted some rpm builds of samba 4.11.3, 4.10.11 and 4.9.17 for RHEL/Centos 7.x (currently 7.7). The 4.11 rpms use the python3 and python3-devel rpms introduced in the standard RHEL/Centos repos at the same time as the 7.7 version. Comments and/or testing feedback would be most welcomed. http://nova.polymtl.ca/~coyote/dist/samba/samba-4.11.3

Samba 4.10.8 and 4.9.13 for rhel7/centos7 rpms
Hi everyone, In case anyone's interested, I've posted the rpm builds of samba 4.10.8 that I'm using on RHEL7.7. (I run these in VMs, serving as AD DCs for my SOHO). These rpms use the default python2 from the system. The 4.10.x SPEC file is now more closely aligned with upstream (Fedora SPEC file) and I've yet to test these builds using the system's python3 on RHEL7.

That's clearly a documentation bug. As for the samba integration, it's now in its own guide: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/windows_integration_guide/index (this is what I followed on 7.5/7.6 to consume realmd). Let me open a BZ about this... Regards, Vincent On Wed, 12 Jun 2019, Rowland penny via samba wrote: > On 12/06/2019 16:31,
