Connecting with Windows 10???
Samba Guru's, As a point of clarification in our Samba setup... We are currently running Samba 4.3.11 on Ubuntu Server 16.04. When running smbstatus it shows the following... Windows 7 machines connect showing SMB2_10. Windows 10 machines connect showing Unknown (0x0311). Supposedly Windows 10 machines should show SMB3_11. Recently I find the smbd process does not close itself even it is invalid, or it close too slow. As the screenshot shows, the connection 112451 and 112844 were created because of the client 8.22.32.200 at Sep 27 02:52:11. And it still exist now at 15:30. But clearly 8.22.32.200 is not available any more. This VM was disabled by me early. The samba version is 4.5.16. Does the smbd process not

That mean for example if my domain resolve xxxxx.testing.mydomain.com the dnsmasq should NOT resolv xxxxxx.mydomain.com this is in ascending way ? Another way to expose: We set dnsmasq+dhcp to set clients that the only DNS server is samba DC on the domain name mysubdomain.mydomain.com DC for example resolv server1.mysubdomain.mydomain.com right, now if a client as for a

Fwd: Cannot connect to Samba share (4.1.11) from Windows 10
Hi! I have a Samba server version 4.1.11 running on Ubuntu Server 14.04. I cannot connect from Windows 10 (but I can from Windows 7). The server and the clients are not on the same LAN. The error message given by Windows is that the server is online but not responding. However the Samba logs say otherwise. Numerical Derivatives in R
Hi, Suppose I have an arbitrary function: arbfun<-function(x) {...} Is there a robust implementation of a numerical derivative routine in R which I can use to take it's derivative ? Something a bit more than simple division by delta of the difference of evaluating the function at x and x+delta... Perhaps there is a way to do this using D or deriv but I could not figure it out.
