replication stopped working after upgrade from 4.11 to 4.12.3
Dear all, debian buster, two DCs (DC1 & DC2) samba packages updated from 4.11.9+dfsg-0.1buster1 to 4.12.3+dfsg-0.1buster1 this past Sunday night (Louis' packages). Since then, samba-tool drs showrepl shows a replication failure. DNS updates with samba-tool fail, example: root at dc1:~# samba-tool dns add dc1 samdom.example.com testrec CNAME afs3.samdom.example.com -k yes Failed to bind

Hello All, I just discovered that the last I unfortunately I send only to Louis - not the list. So below are my answers included (and log outputs that were requested). Never the less in meantime I have investigated further into SAMBA & winbind. I was able to setup samba dc based on previous instructions and guidelines successfully. I additionally setup a debian samba member with winbind.

Hai, Can you post /etc/krb5.conf /etc/resolv.conf /etc/hosts Output off: samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs And last question, are there any DC removed from the domain. 50abc2a4-574d-40b3-9d66-ee4fd5fba076/0x00000005,localaddress=> 192.168.50.40] My guess here the UUID is a removed DC. You samba config looks fine to me. Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- >

AD bind DNS broken after 4.7.3 -> 4.9.2 upgrade
Hi, I have been running a Samba AD PDC with BIND9_DLZ on a Debian system for a year now without problems, and in the hope for ability to create AD backups I upgraded the samba packages (along with other packages with minor updates). Everything seemed OK during the upgrade, all processes restarted, but soon after I found that PAM refuses to authenticate AD usernames. By checking the samba
