FXColorDialog slow UI update
Hi Lyle,
I have noticed a very small problem with the FXColorDialog class: when
changing the color with the color wheel, it takes quite a long time
(until 4 seconds, sometimes less) for the other panels of the dialog to
synchronize.
The opposite is also true: when changing the color with the sliders, it
may take sometimes until 4 seconds for the color wheel to reflect the
change.

radiobuttons are weird in 1.2.x series
Hello all,
Run groupbox.rb example in any of the two alpha versions and
click the radiobutton in the upper right group box (those named Hilvesum 1,
Hilversum 2, etc). You''ll notice that once a radiobutton is checked,
it remains checked when some other radiobutton is checked.
What''s the reason?
Thank you.

FXRuby 1.6.23 released
Hi fxruby hackers,
new version 1.6.23 is out with the following changes. Unfortunately
the fxruby.org homepage is down and I don''t have access to it.
Therefore I''ve moved the documentation to
http://rubydoc.info/github/larskanis/fxruby/1.6/frames and converted
to yard.
Have fun!

query FXRuby by ri
Hi Don,
Thanks for the tips.
But it works on an old XP computer but NOT on the new Vista.
I also notice that I can browse the classes from Fxruby when I use fxri or ri on the old computer. I see nothing about FxRuby''s stuff when I use fxri or ri on the new Vista. But I can use gem server to see the Rdoc about FxRuby''s classes on both computers. It looks Ruby doesn''t

Learning FXRuby please help!
Hi all,
I''m trying to get text on to the screen in response to pressing a
button. This code doesn''t work, and I don''t know why. My puts command
says that the window is shown, but it''s not displayed.
Also, it seems to me that there should be an easier way to get text on a
screen in response to pressing a button. Any hints? Thanks!

FXSplashWindow
I saw Jeroen''s suggestion on how to use FXSplashWindow on the
foxgui-users list and thought I''d try it.
My attempt was as follows:
require ''fox16''
include Fox
app = FXApp.new("App")
icon = nil
File.open(''icon.gif'', ''rb'') { |f|
icon = FXGIFIcon.new(app, f.read)
}

FXTable segfaults after multiple setTableSize calls
When I empty and refill an FXTable multiple times with a large data set
(10,000 rows x 1 column in the example below, around 1000 rows x 6
columns in a more complicated app), the application eventually fails
with a segmentation fault. The number of repetitions required to produce
the segfault is rather random, ranging from just a couple reps to 15 or
20 in some trials. The program disappears

Fixed column widths in FXTable?
Is there a way to make an FXTable''s column widths (and row heights)
unchangeable by the user? By experimentation it looks to me like leaving
out TABLE_COL_SIZABLE and TABLE_ROW_SIZABLE from the options field in
FXTable.new() has no effect. I can still drag the intersection between
two column heading buttons to change the column width. The code I''m
using to test this is

SEL_UPDATE not responsive
I have read what I could about SEL_UPDATE and I understand that the block(s) that get called "from" SEL_UPDATE only get called when "there is no more work to do".
I took the splitter.rb example that comes with FXRuby. I put in a "puts" in one of the SEL_UPDATE blocks and I get about 4 a second. Not awful ... but ... why is it so slow?

(/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/fxruby-1.6.16/examples) and get this

foxGUIb v0.7 (for FXRuby 1.6)
dear (FX)Ruby hackers,
lyle has released FXRuby 1.6.0 some days ago. so it was a good
opportunity for me to fix some more bugs and release annother version
of foxGUIb which is tested against FXRuby 1.6.0.
the most interesting feature Fox1.6 brings to you is unicode support.
(see foxGUIb/test/unicode_test_japanese.rbin)
thanks for all the feedback and the bug reports.
enjoy ;)

The process of doing it is ok and generate a file fox16.so in the directory

When Jamis Buck wrote last year about ceasing development on

FXRuby scintilla issue
FXRuby version 1.6.4. I''ve been trying to compile FXruby with scintilla
support. I''ve downloaded:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/fxscintilla/fxscintilla-1.63.tar.gz.
Compiled it and installed it.
FXruby is 1.6.4
I get:
