Winbind, Kerberos, SSH and Single Sign On
Hi, at first I'm not sure if this is the correct list to ask this question. But since I'm using winbind I hope you can help me. I try to realize a kerberized ssh from one client to another. Both clients are member of subdom2.subdom1.example.de and joined to it. The users are from example.de, where subdom1.example.de is a subdomain (bidirectional trust) of example.de and

Updating from 6.6 - 6.9 SSH
No I'm referring to "sshd -ddd" (preferrable on a high port like -p 8080 so you don't break your current ability to connect to the machine). As clearly the server is rejecting it. And only the server side debug can tell us that. - Ben Nick Stanoszek wrote: > I am using an AWS ubuntu 14.04 server...is that what you are asking? > > On Tue, Jul 28, 2015 at 10:00 PM,

How do I get an ssh client to authenticate with samba4's kerberos GSSAPI?
Hi, I am doing some kerberos testing with samba4 using ssh. I have setup samba4 using the howto at http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO and active directory seems to be working both with Windows and Linux clients. ssh unfortunately is not kerberos authenticating via GSSAPI. The client krb5.conf contains this: ===================================================== [libdefaults]

SSH SSO without keytab file
Hai, I did see that you are using Administrator, and thats the problem. Administrator is mapped to root ( most of the time ), if you assigned Administrator UID = 0 then you have a problem, because only root = uid 0. Never ever give Administrator a UID/GID, create a new one assign that one a UID/GID. So try again with a normal user, that does have a UID/GID. If that does not work, please

Failure to Launch (was override -q option)
Attached is the very verbose ssh output. Just to be perverse, this time two nodes lost connectivity. The only thing I see is lines saying that the two connections are lost, although being honest I have no idea what everything else means. For reference, 8 ssh cinnections were being made at the same time for a 8x8mpi task. N.B., since the OS I am using does not have rsh, I am currently using the

X11 forwarding not working.
Hi! I'm having a difficult time getting X11 forwarding to work. Since I've read the docs completely about this, this must be an SSH bug which is likely because I'm using Gentoo as the SSH server. When trying to forward X11 connections, I get X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication. kwrite: cannot connect to X server XXXXXXXXX:10.0 Using command ssh -Y -p 1111 -4

chaining AUTH methods -- adding GoogleAuthenticator 2nd Factor to pubkey auth? can't get the GA prompt :-/
I added an EXPLICIT AuthenticationMethods publickey,keyboard-interactive + UsePam yes to sshd_config. Now, at connect attempt I get Password: Verification code: Password: Verification code: Password: ... I.e., It's asking for Password, not accepting pubkey AND when given the password (which is correct), and the GA VerificationCode, it simply repeats the credentials request.

Cisco vs. 6.9
After upgrading a Linux system from OpenSSH 6.7 to 6.9, Cisco switches/routers can no longer scp config files to/from the system. The last debug entry before the Cisco device closes the connection is "debug1: server_input_channel_open: confirm session". The next line is "Connection closed by x.x.x.x". Anyone else seen this or know of a fix? The Cisco device gives

^C doesnt work on ssh session
Thanks Darren, will check on your response. I am attaching sshd, ssh logs with debug flags. Please see if it gives any hint: when I press ^C in ssh session, no log gets printed in both server/client side. ? about portable version of sshd crashing
I am porting over the portable version of openssh to our uCLinux implementation. Everything has worked with minimal effort and I appreciate all the work. But, I am having a problem whereby the sshd executable is crashing and I really could use some help on where to look at this in more details. Here is how I start up the sshd for testing. /usr/sbin/sshd -D -ddd -f /etc/ssh/sshd_config -p 65

SSH login between servers still asking for password, why?
I have two servers identified as `server-1 - 192.168.3.128` and `server-2 - 192.168.3.130`. I am setting up `capifony` for automatic deployment from server-1 to server-2 and this is what I have done so far: 1. In both servers I have created a user `deploy` without password since that's the user I will use for deployment. 2. In server-1 I setup a SSH keys by running the command:
