I added LOG statements to mutex.c printing the strerror from the return values.   From   ret = pthread_mutexattr_init(&ma); in line 570   I got errorno 16 --> device busy.   But due the manual of pthread_mutex_attr_init() there should only be ENOMEM and EINVAL...   Doing gdb smbd -> run Doe not reveal anything, but I never used gdb for debugging anything. I just gave it a shot...        

Hi. I configured a simple samba server. As I need this server to be available in macOS ?Network? list, I configured avahi. When I start smb.service and avahi-daemon.service I get two results in the ?Network? section. When I don?t use avahi I get no entry. How on centos 5.1 do you inquire from avahi what devices are out there? Is there a command line to run that just lists all device found? Jerry

hello all. I want to use my OpenBSD server for time machine via samba. Reading documentation, I noticed, that vfs module fruit requires streams_xattr for work, and in documentation for streams_xattr i see that the file system of the share must support extended attributes. And OpenBSD FFS does NOT support extended attributes. Does this mean I cannot use frut module too?
