similar to: Connecting with Windows 10???

Have a Linux Mint 19.1 with Samba 4.7.6 installed. Plan is to use this as a file server. Cannot connect from Windows 10. Win 10 sees the share but says group name could not be found. I have been noticing an issue with file permissions and curious as to your thoughts on this. In the one directory the files started as... ...a 777 file was users[100] and root...now they are gc[1002] and fred_smith [1005], but the permissions changed to 764. I have a mask as 775, but this does not seem to be the case??? Here is my smb.conf...curious as to what I may have wrong on this???
