Share Printer via GPO per User
Im at the point of going home, but a quick reply..
Create groups, a group per printer.
Then in GPO preferences,/ settings control pannel, printers.
Here you can set things as, if user is member of group, deploy printer.
As said, short mail but what your looking for it possible.
Have a look there, and see if you can get it working.

GPO for Computer/Machine not working
Hi all,
I am having the same issue that is described in an older thread here:
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2018-February/213656.html
The problem I am facing is that the machine accounts are not trusted
in the domain (this is true for all Win 10 Systems). The issue with
the computer is from my pov:
Folgende herausgefilterte Gruppenrichtlinien werden nicht angewendet.

CN=Bj”rn <User>,CN=Users,DC=rootrudi,DC=de
Bj”rn ?
is your system set to utf8?
i dont know, but this does not look right.
i see, wifi? yes, try utp.
langsame Verbindung:500 kbps
and do try the ignore systemacl.
that solves the user/group “nt authority\system” problems the easy way.

The description of that link, says it is running Samba AD with MIT
Kerberos. the MIT backend is experimental and this is one of the
problems it has, machine GPOs don't work.

Samba logoff script
Hello
Is it possible to create a samba logoff script. I currently use netlogon for
a logonscript. I also want a logoff scipt to allow me to back certain files
up once a user logs off.
Is this possible? If so how?

GPOs not Working!
Thanks for help,
this is a new domain controller without any modifcations, except one
GPO. I have the "Default Domain Policy" and created an addtional GPO,
named "test_something". Both are linked at the top of the domain. I
configured at the "test_something" GPO:

DNS entry for resolving the DC
We already "solved" this by using the long form of the domain name, but
I want to learn if we should do something additional:
We had a mixed setup in the field, some PCs had a WINS server
configured, some not. We removed the WINS info from DHCP and saw no new
problems (we wanted to have things the same way on all clients).
Yesterday the local admin tried to join a new PC and entered

my computer suddenly failed to boot. It seams that it is unable to mount
