Classicupgrade of 4.1.17 error: "list index out of range"
I'm trying to upgrade to AD from a Samba 4 PDC with openLDAP (on Debian 8). I'm stuck at this very unhelpful error: # samba-tool domain classicupgrade --dbdir=/usr/local/samba.PDC/dbdir/ --use-xattrs=yes --realm=ad.mydomain.tld --dns-backend=SAMBA_INTERNAL --option="interfaces=lo eth2" --option="bind interfaces only=yes" /etc/samba/smb.conf.PDC

rpcclient error / printer driver issue
SUSE 9.1 samba-3.0.9-2.6 samba-client-3.0.9-2.6 I am getting some errors that I can't seem to track down in any of the archives. I came across this problem when trying to delete a driver none of the printers are listed in the smb.conf - it is all being generated from the cups and the printcap that cups makes on load First enumprinters works: rpcclient $> enumprinters

samba (2.2.8a) driver download fails
Hi there, I have a problem with the rpc driver stuff: I have copied the driver files to //atlas/print$/W32X86 and WIN40 (via filesystem copy), added and set the driver without errors. But getdriver reports no driver associatet with the printer?! So reports below. I am sure, this was working on this system. I tried to reinit the ntprinters.tdb, printing.tdb, nt_forms.tdb and ntdrivers.tdb by

cupsaddsmb - why the heck can't I get rpcclient-addprinter to work?
I can't seem to get the rpcclient-addprinter to work - grrrrrr It looks like the drivers files are copied correctly and the NT drivers are added correctly but the addprinter command says it's unsuccessful! rpcclient localhost -N -U JOHNSON\\root -c 'enumprinters' shows the printer!! What's going on? I've tried removing /var/cache/samba/ntdrivers.tdb
