Retrieve results from chisq.test programmatically
Hello, I would like to run a series of chisq.test() and store results (x-square, df, p-value) in a matrix for further analysis, but don't know how to do such. Currently I run the command line for each set of data at a time and it is time consuming. Thank you for your help. --My Coyne [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

If I have an object `obj` that is a SpecTask, and subsequently invoke it, is there a way to programmatically determine the number of tests that were successful, failed, and pending as a result of running that SpecTask? -- John Feminella Principal Consultant, Distilled Brilliance

[ncdf] programmatically copying a netCDF file
How to programmatically (i.e., without no or minimal handcoding) copy a netCDF file? (Without calling > system("cp whatever wherever") :-) Why I ask: I need to "do surgery" on a large netCDF file (technically an I/O API file which uses netCDF). My group believes a data-assimilation error caused a data variable to be corrupted in a certain way, so I'm going to

I have come across some bytecode like the following with an GetElementPtr instruction in brackets: Bytecode:%3 = call i32 @_Z4funcPKc(i8* getelementptr inbounds ([5 x i8]* @.str2, i32 0, i32 0)) C++ code:func("bleh");

programmatical retrieval of windows event logs from linux
Am a Linux guy and trying to support security monitoring for Windows devices. Am trying to find a programmatic way of pulling security and application logs from Windows machine. OR it can be a push model where windows can generate events/traps. It should all be built-in in windows with no external tool installation. Looks like there is no NATIVE built in asynchronous event

Programmatically minimising main R window (on windows)
Hi all, Is it possible to programmatically minimise the main window of the windows R gui? I'm designing a small gui with gwidgets & RGtk2 for an non-statistician to use, and it would be nice if I could easily hide all the R stuff that they don't need. Thanks, Hadley -- http://had.co.nz/

[External] Creating model formulas programmatically
my take of the assignment was to avoid 'parse' specifically. we start with a character vector, so avoiding characters is not possible. i was dealing with the fortune "if parse is the answer, you have the wrong question" Sent from my iPhone On Mar 29, 2025, at 15:39, Bert Gunter <bgunter.4567 at gmail.com> wrote: ? [External] Creating model formulas programmatically
Hello, I thought of answering "reformulate can solve the problem" but how do you create quadratic terms with reformulate? ~(Heigh + Ho + Silver + Away)^2 is still a problem with no solution that I know of but paste/as.formula. Or Bert's bquote or substitute. Rui Barradas ?s 23:18 de 29/03/2025, Ebert,Timothy Aaron escreveu: > The general formula is y ~ a + b + c + ... >

[External] Creating model formulas programmatically
Thanks, Rich. I thought of that, too, but it violates the spirit of my restraints (to avoid character strings), which I unfortunately did not clearly articulate. So my apologies for that failure. My concern is that with more complex model formula, using as.formula, etc. to parse/convert character strings can get a bit hairy. But in most cases, as here maybe, it may be perfectly fine. So think of

[External] Creating model formulas programmatically
The general formula is y ~ a + b + c + ... There is this approach: formula <- reformulate(independent_vars, response = "y") model <- lm(formula, data = mydata) summary(model) It does not generate a string object, but the formula is still a string even if it is of class formula. Also, in this approach you only get + and if you want interactions or such you will need to code them

best-practice for programmatically using rxml generated from controller/view? (or 'how can I view a view from a model')
Hey Guys, Here''s the scenario: I''ve got vendor-specific XML I need to create and then POST it somewhere. It sounds easy enough, but I''m running into issues when it comes time to actually use the XML. Trying hard to stay within the MVC pattern I: 1) Create a controller which loads the models I''m about to turn into XML 2) Create an rxml view which renders the
