I'll try to spell out the problem as best I can. There are three computers on a LAN, "ADS1", "ADS2" and "DRS2". ADS1 and ADS2 run samba-3.5.8-76.fc14.i686 under Fedora 14. Ok, I successfully added a couple of machines to DNS using samba-tool but when I query with host they are not there. Here's the command line that I used: samba-tool dns add ads1.edm-inc.com edm-inc.com smtp A 10.10.1.215 It asks for the domain admin password and returns successfully. Hi, for a static cifs mount (automount from fstab) I would like to use kerberos with a SPN. The share is accessed from a http service, so I use HTTP/www.samdom.example.com with the username http-www.samdom.example.com. Unfortunately I can not get it to work.
