Samba DC on 4.1.7 from sernet
Just updated a DC from 4.1.6 to 4.1.7. After the update, it appears to be
unable to bind any listening ports with the error
NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER_MIX. This is on CentOS 6.5, running samba
4.1.7 RPMs from sernet.
Just as a test, I did a brand new samba-tool provision, and still get the
same results when starting, so I don't think it's anything in my
configuration, unless there

Upgrade From 4.0.16 To 4.0.17+ Breaks
G'day Guys,
I've hit a snag. After using S4 from Alpha, beta, rc, 4.0.1..16 with success, I wanted to upgrade to the 4.1 series. However, after compiling, installing, and provisioning, with no errors, samba4 won't start correctly. I did a few tests by installing from scratch, on the same server each of the following versions (4.0.17, 4.0.18, 4.0.19, and 4.1.9), and got the same

LDAPS is not working
Hi,
after a successfully migrating my NT4 with OpenLDAP to a Samba4 AD...I got a problem.
Like in the sambawiki tutorial (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configuring_LDAP_over_SSL_(LDAPS)_on_a_Samba_AD_DC) I tried to configure LDAPS. I used the auto-configured certs. They are located in "/var/lib/samba/private/tls".

smb.service fails to start after openSUSE Tumbleweed update
Hai,
Yes that is know.
Enable and change the range to a, for you usable range, outside the current ranges.
Example:
idmap config * : backend = tdb
idmap config * : range = 3000-7999
Now start samba and winbind.
And posting you smb.conf really helps of analyze things like this.

Samba 3.6.10 not reading groups
Helpp! :) We didn't catch this in testing and now it's killing me in production!
I'm getting stuck with my fresh build of Samba 3.6.10. It isn't honoring groups specified in the valid users clause of the share configuration.
I'm running in security = SHARE mode, and user authentication is working just fine. Even if I specify individual users on the valid users = line, it

SMBD wont start
Hai,
I see: create_local_token failed: NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER_MIX
So i suggest, remove these 3 first. That's my first bet to change.

Try again, when smbd starts, only add:
ntlm auth = mschapv2-and-ntlmv2-only

I'm desperate. My English is terrible, but I will try to be as clear as

I have Samba 4.4.4 in a Centos 7.
I have many connections for each ip.
