NV25 doesn't draw most icons
Hello! I've installed Fedora 20 Mate i386 on an old system with GeForce4 Ti 4200 AGP (NV25) and I see significant visual defects. Many icons are not shown. They can reappear if they are selected of the mouse goes over them. Screenshot: http://red-bean.com/proski/nv25/screenshot.png All entries on the left should have icons, but only two have them. The problem goes away I create a file

SVN migration status
It looks like the Subversion migration is working. The CVS repository is still there, but in read-only mode. However, the SVN repository preserves the version history of the CVS repository, albeit organized slightly differently. For an introduction to Subversion, this online book is essential: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/ It is written by some of the Subversion authors. The only drawback I

Rebasing a 4.11 windows build to current Samba.
Andrew, Thank you for responding. I originally started down that track but had problems building several dependencies early on. I opted to move it to Cygwin because it was more familiar for me and many of the required dependencies were buildable. With more experience now I can certainly see your point as far as getting a windows build for mainline, so I may try that again soon. There may be some

I have a semi working 32-bit build of Samba 4.11.0 for Windows based on a patched Cygwin 2.5.2 build. I wondered if anyone knows where a set of DIF files to move it from release 4.11.0 to the latest stable release of 4.19.x (or through each intervening release to that point) could be obtained. How to send a domain wide message with smbclient?
Is there a way to send a message to all users currently logged into a Samba domain controller? The reason why I ask is that I have a Samba 3.x.x primary/backup domain controller setup and as soon as the system monitor detects that the primary domain controller is offline I would like to execute a command to send a domain wide message telling all domain users to save their work to the local

MultiLine Sip Phones
Sorry Newbie asking everyones option. I am setting up a couple of small asterisk phone systems for my work, I started using some snom 190 and bt102 sip phones (the bt102 works really well with iLBC), but the complaint from my workmates is there is no way to see if other people are on there phone or not, or what lines are being used. The snom 190 only has 5 function keys, the snom 220 seems a bit

scoring question
Hi All I have just realized that if I set a query like 'green jelly bean' xapian will turn that query into 'green OR jelly OR bean' This causes documents containing just one of the words to be considered a 100% hit. The behavior I would like to see is that each word gives a 33.3% hit, so that a document containing all 3 words gets placed above a document with only 1 or 2

Automounting Samba shares for Linux clients?
Is there a way to configure the latest version of Samba to automount shares when a Linux client logs into a Samba PDC? I have searched high and low trying to find an answer to this and the only information I have found is using pam_mount (which I have yet to get working correctly) or NFS. When searching for an answer, I came across comments such as "NFS is the best way to mount shares in a

Oh oh. Micro$oft just noticed VoIP
It will be interesting to see how many standards get broken, and how many proprietary hooks get thrown into the pot. The bean counters smell some money, and their OS franchise is waning: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/26/technology/26soft.html -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
