NT_STATUS_TOO_MANY_OPENED_FILES
Hi,
We upgraded from Samba version 4.15.9 to 4.18.1 on last Saturday. We are
running AD-DC Service. Our upgrade process was nothing but a fresh
compile & installation and add the samba instance to AD-DC cluster as a
Domain Controller and demote and remove the old one. Of 5 server, there

too many open files
Hello list,
I have a problem with a samba 4.1.2 (Sernet Package) on SLES 11 SP3.
Every few days samba (which works as a single ad controller) says
"NT_STATUS_TOO_MANY_OPENED_FILES" and stopps working. To fix this
Problem our customer reboots the machine.
The logfile says:

TOO MANY OPEN FILES when adding printer driver
Dear Samba experts,
I'm trying to add a printer driver for a Canaon TM-255 plotter
to out samba4 machine.
While most printer drivers consist of a handful of files, this plotter
requires 149 driver files.
I'm adding the driver via:
FILES="CNWT10GM.UPD,,CNWUO411.DLL,.... 142 more files"
rpcclient -U Administrator%nav852 SERV00 -c "adddriver \"Windows x64\"

samba 4.4.5 DC with bind9: DNS update failing with NOTAUTH
Hello,
I'm trying to join a samba 4 DC to an already existing samba 4 DC, both
with BIND9_DLZ. Samba is at version 4.4.5, bind is version 9.10.4-P1,
all brand new.
The existing DC runs fine, but the added DC refuses to update its local
bind database: every attempt to update the local DNS results in "update
failed: NOTAUTH". AD replication works perfectly.
Both systems are set

Second DC won't start LDAP daemon
Hello.
I've got a network of FreeBSD servers which traditionally hosted a
classic domain.
I upgraded some months ago, removing the old PDC and BDC and migrating
to an AD DC controller in a jail.
This is working fine with Samba 4.4.13.
Now I'm trying to add a second DC, so I created a new jail on another
physical server and went on with the setup, following:

[ASan][Windows] Interceptor function type not compatible with intercepted function
Hi,
I triggered a build failure on a Windows-sanitizer by making the sanity checking in `ASAN_INTERCEPT_FUNC` a bit stricter.
My best guess is that the type of the defined interceptor is not compatible (in C++ typing terms) with the “real” function.
This seems to be the case for the following 2 functions:
CreateThread “no conversion”:
