I am testing the backup script found at https://github.com/thctlo/samba4/tree/master/backup-script on Ubuntu 16.04.1LTS with Samba 4.5.0 (from source) running. Due to this the script exits and does not backup anything since netlogon_creds_cli.tdb is the first it wanted to backup. ( in

Get the script from github.. https://github.com/thctlo/samba4/tree/master/backup-script   and only change these 2.   This one is generated by the script, it speeds up the cron job. SCRIPT_COMMANDS_FILE="/etc/samba/backup_samba4_commands"   And the location of where your backups go. STOREDIR=/home/backups/`hostname –s`   Run it and it works ;-) , if not i ow you.. ;-)

try removing it with samba tool first. how is on the wiki. Hi! I have a samba 4.3.11 installation running on ubuntu xenial (the packaged version installed via apt-get). With that version, the etc directory in /var/lib/samba is missing. Is this supposed to be a link to /etc/samba (or vice versa)? Just to make shure that my backup is fine. I couldn't find any information about that on the web. Kind regards, Peter
