Stuck here - help please
Hi Gerald, Thank you for the details. As per your suggestion, I have made the changes to dovecot.conf file. Still I don't see any replication is happening. Please see the dovecot.conf file. I do not see "/etc/dovecot/conf.d/12-replication.conf" in my servers. So I had put everything in the dovecot.conf file only. Please see the complete data in it below. The below data is in

Direct Media and message "SIP/SipAgent-00000bf9 requested media update control 26, passing it to SIP/ead14-00000bfb"
Hello, I have the following construction : Provider --> SipAgent (asterisk) --> Asterisk Server_A --> IP-phone (Snom 370) If a call comes in from the "Provider" to my SipAgent, then my SipAgent send the call to the correct Asterisk Server_A (dialplan logic based on number). The Asterisk Server_A takes the call and sends it to the IP-phone. My SipAgent has DirectMedia=yes

unregistered trunks and registered phones coming from the same IP
Hi, I manage an SBC which stands between my company server farm and some SIP telco trunks. The system works fine, for inbound and outbound calls. Now I've configured the SBC to also act as a registration proxy, forwarding SIP registrations coming from the Internet to my asterisk servers. It all seems fine, but it doesn't work well, because by the time at least one phone registers through

ssh tunnel exits unexptected
Hi, I have setup a tunnel from server A to server B across WAN by running "ssh -l user_X -L port_A:server_B:port_B server_C -N". Server B is in a private network, so I have to establish the tunnel via server C, which is in the same LAN with B but has a public IP. The problem is, every time I start the tunnel on server B, the tunnel process will die nearly two hours later. And it

Stuck here - help please
Thank you for the reply. I have done the sync manually with "doveadm sync" command. But, I have not configured the replication yet. I am looking at the below webpage for the replication. https://wiki.dovecot.org/Replication I am using the dovecot version "2.2.36". I am confused with what needs to be done after reading that page. 1. They are talking about v2.3.1 and v2.2+.

UPS Groups?
Maybe this will clear up what I was initially thinking. In this diagram all lines on the right of the UPSs are power lines and all lines on the left are serial/usb lines. .---. +--|UPS+-----+--------+--------+---... | | A1| | | | | '---' .---+--. .---+--. .---+--. | |Server| |Server| |Server| | | A1 | | A2 | |

Samba 4.10 member: SMB login no longer working
Thank you, Louis, for your reply. By simply asking me to provide outputs of the aforementioned files, I found the cause of my first problem (auth failing). It was my /etc/hosts file on dc1. All of them should look like this, and indeed DC2 and DC3's *did* look like this: # cat /etc/hosts > 127.0.0.1 ? ? ? localhost.samdom.mycompany.net ?localhost > 192.168.3.201

DLZ Backend DNS Hosed
And, BTW, right now, I am able to see my problem via the following 3 ways... 1) Through Windows DNS Manager, I cannot add, change or delete any DNS records from: mycompany.loc samdom.mycompany.net mycompany.net I *can* add, change and delete DNS records from: _msdcs.samdom.mycompany.net mycompany.com 7.168.192.in-addr.arpa 5.168.192.in-addr.arpa 3.168.192.in-addr.arpa

DLZ Backend DNS Hosed
No, this is not needed. Solution here in this is simple. search primary.domain.tld # optional extra search domains after the primary. nameserver IP_AD-DC_OF_THIS_SERVER_FIRST nameserver IP_AD-DC_others Run : samba_upgradedns --dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ And your done, all needed records are fixed/updated. This goes wrong if the IP of the running server isnt the first and/or if search is setup

DLZ Backend DNS Hosed
Louis, I appreciate your efforts with my predicament. I'm very sorry to say that your advice hasn't gotten me to a solution. After updating my /etc/network/interfaces to put my localhost IP address first (192.168.3.201, for example), saving, restarting services, rebooting, running "samba_upgradedns --dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ", saving, rebooting, etc., I still cannot add, edit or

Samba <- Winbind -> Windows 2003 ADS Questions
Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to Samba - at least for more in-depth installations. Big Thank-You from my company to the brilliant developers responsible for this software. We have our Samba server integrated with our Windows 2003 AD domain users via Winbind - a working installation with some issues described below. getent passwd works as the many docs show (one entry below):
